8 June, 2006 at 11:49 am #222535getting back to the topic , I don’t think super thin looks good
If people are happy being what size they are , then that’s fine
There again being too far overweight is not good for you , too much strain on the old ticker and it’s goodbye – and I don’t believe there will be any pie in the sky .
Most promoted diets don’t work long term – they are short term fixes
If your serious about losing weight and keepin it off – then you have to change the way you eat completely8 June, 2006 at 11:43 am #222534@did wrote:

Alcohol is one of the worst public health problems in Europe after tobacco and high blood pressure, has a greater impact than obesity, lack of exercise or illicit drugs.
Five to nine million children were living in families damaged by alcohol and the 10,000 deaths that occur to bystanders or passengers from drink-drivers.
But although the figures show that UK citizens are among the worst binge drinkers in Europe, drinking levels per person (13 litres of pure alcohol per year) are just under the EU average of 15 litres of pure alcohol per year.
Research published by the health charity DPP: Developing Patient Partnerships found that 24% of Britons sometimes drink just to “get drunk”.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the figure is even higher in young people with 59% of 18-24 year olds and 43% of 25-34 year olds drinking to get drunk.
Full story here.
Owen you are making the point that alcohol is bad for you – obvioulsy ?? and it is LEGAL – so how come you can use that argument to LEGALIZE drugs ??????
Am I missing something here ?????

good old fashioned great song writing how its meant to be, with that 60’s feel.. just perfect
anybody else know of any good up coming bands to look out for?
Try the Rolling Stones Soulie , or Wishbone Ash – they are till going too – I saw them in 73 – ffs
There’s also Paul Lamb – probably one of the best harmonica players ever – and he’s from my home town – been on loads of albums for bands such as Lindisfarne etc
If you like R & B – try the Hamsters – brilliant – they are one of the leading exponents of Hendrix too – they have many hats
Walter Trout is still about – he played with Canned Heat and John Mayall – (google em – cos ur too young)I could go on and on and on and on and on – but i’ll give you respite for now
