..If you cut out his scoring ability..Then he wouldn’t actually have much ability as a football player.
That surpasses even some of your previous no brain comments you Numpty !!!!!
The whole idea of the game is to score goals – preferably more than the opposition – unless you watch foreign shyte of course in which case its to dive at every opportunity , fiegn injury and try and get the opposition sent off
Dearie me – let me see – take away the scoring ability of the following and what have we left ?? ;-
Denis Law Malcolm Macdonald Alan Shearer Roy of the rovers Brian Clough Kevin Phillips !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!3 September, 2006 at 5:36 pm #239970@robbo wrote:

lampard was very poor again, can’t even keep the ball against poor opps… downing is alright, but i prefer cole out on the wing or even richardson, england play better with attacking wingers
so go for that approach i say
I agree…I think Lampard should have been dropped ages ago..He is another overrated player who will shoot at every opportunity, but can’t do much else. I prefer Richardson to Downing..He is such a boring player…I love how you think he’s going to run at a player, then you realise he has no pace or flair to actually go by an opponant..So he’ll stop, stand there, go backwards, then pass back, or he’ll stand in one place, and just cross lol..He’s a good crosser, and in my opinion, that’s all he is good at.
Typical Robbo – not a bloody clue about football – stick to watching the foerign shyte mate
Anyone who says that Gerrard should move back to centre midfield is totally misguided – he performs far better on the right
I do agree with lampard though – totally over-rated
Downing is an excellent player and he gives the right balance to the team – or left balance if you like
Richardson does nothing for me – don’t rate him at all1 September, 2006 at 9:56 am #238562Go for it Mrs Clean

you both have made comments i agree with immensly, but you have also made comments i totally disagree with…. most of them when the conversation got too personal…. real fans…. not armchair fans…. fans living too far from the ground….. girls commenting on the thread and so on and so on.
i love my footie but hate arguements that are blinkered. i like robbo, cos unlike the united fans here in essex he actually has time to comment on other clubs and sports etc…. thats a good sportsman. somebody willing to actually watch other matches and base an opinion on what he is watching and NOT what people expect him to say/do.
where i live it is predominantly spurs. as you can imagine i dont like that very much. but if they play well i will say so. what really really pis.s me off is match day up the pub and there are more spurs fans cheering on whoever we (arsenal) are playing. come spurs playing on a weekend you will get the faithful 4 true spurs fans… they actually enjoy hating us more than they enjoy loving spurs….. what is the point? :?
footie brings out the best and the worst in everybody, but what i love about it is a good old debate..,.. lets not let this sink even further than it already has…. leave that to the F1 serious (LOL) posters….
It’s called rivalry Sharon
Up here in the North east you are either Sunderland or Newcastle , there’s no middle ground
Where I am it’s predominantly Newcastle , so local derbies over the past few years at St james , when we are watching in the pub become a bit scary with only a bout 5 of us in red and white and a sea of black and white !!
TEll Robbo I was in Germany for 3 weeks in the summer and saw all of Argentinas games , my buddies were over from America so we followed USA and Argies as best we could .I thnk you got the best deal last night – although I rate Cole as a great left fullback – I think Gallas is a tremendous player – hopefully he and Toure can form a good partnership – I see Cygan has gone too
Newcastle disappointed their fans – only sigining Sieberski – then the way they treat Milner was nothing short of disgraceful
Keane however made a few shrewd signings for a CHampionship club – Varga has a huge presence , Yorke did well in the World CUp , and i think connelley is one of the most underrated forwards about Kavanagh always gives 100% and Liam Miller isn’t a bad buy either – not seen the young Jock – Wallace – but he’s highly rated up in Scotland31 August, 2006 at 7:25 pm #237800[fan.
“you have to go to games to be a passionate fan”. You can also go to games and barely support your football team, but i’m guessing they are passionate about there team, eh? What about the fans who leave 20 minutes early when there team is losing..Are they REAL passionate about there team too? What about fans(like yourself), who are too busy talking down on another team that they barely have anything decent to say about there own? Get the fu.ck out of here. You barely know the rules of football, or different football players, let alone the knowledge you claim to have on football [/quote]
Your just a baby faced Martin Fowler lookalike Robbo – barely out of short pants
You haven’t lived long enough to see any decent footballers – those that you idolise aren’t a patch on those that have gone before them
When and if you ever grow up you might realise this – I have forgotten more about football than you will ever know
How many times have you been to wembley – child ?? How may world cups you seen live – how many truly great players have you seen live – few if any i betStick to cleaning your spots mate – go join the girls in a game of rounders

How many Arsenal fans are there that don’t even live in London? Liverpool fans? Even West ham fans, and the list goes on and on and on. But just because it is Man United, we are all glory hunters. If I had supported any other team other than United..You wouldn’t have sh1t to say…You talk about true supporters and what not..But you have barely had anything decent to say about your own team! You concentrate on the envy of other teams, like Newcastle who ARE in the premier league, while you arn’t focusing on your OWN team. I know people who support Rangers, Celtic, but don’t even live in Scotland, and they are not even Scottish, but they are passionate about the teams.
Maybe you should become more passionate about your team, and concentrate on your team, as most of your focus is on Newcastle…You are a pathetic, little individual, who is as biased as a fan gets. Think before you reply, because this constant, “glory hunting” thing is getting old, and I think I have proved a damn near good point above! By the way..If I were a glory hunter, like you claim all Man United fans are, then surely I would have jumped upon the Chelsea bandwagon by now . Think before you reply with some dumb and retarded sh1t like that
You stupid boy – to quote Captain Maimwaring – can you not read – obviously not !!!!!
Of course I am passionate about Sunderland – I went to every home match bar 2 last season – and went to about 15 away matches
This season I have been to all 3 home matches and away at Coventry and Bury
So don’t give me that shyte – you foreign armchair fan
To be a true supporter you have to go to games , buy the merchandise , advertise your club
Looks like the boys will have Yorke and Cavanagh in place by tonight – possibly Liam Miller too – things are looking up
Why don’t you start following Curling Robbo – it’s a bit less frantic for you and you probably wil be able to understand the rules – wear a wooly hat tho and long johns cos it gets bloody cold It’s on ice you see – never mind I’ll explain properly when your released from your contract with Eastenders !!!!!!!!!!!!! pml

31 August, 2006 at 10:33 am #238546I hate the bloody new bins with a vengeance
We have Green bins for usual rubbish and Blue bins for “green” rubbish – if you know what I mean – ffs they cant even get the colours right
Now a proposed new bin “Brown” for green – as in garden waste ffs – although – you have to pay for this one
so no doubt people will be nicking Brown bins before longAnywya back to the story – the collections are now blue bin (green) one week , green bin the next week
So if you say have a chicken the day after the green bin collection – the carcass is in the bin for nearly 2 weeks – in summer no matter how many plastic bags you wrap it up in – the bloody flies will get to it – then you have a bin full of maggots – which the council will probably refuse to empty
So we now have a maggot bin (black) which is collected on the 29th FebruaryI make at least one trip a week to the local tip so that my bins dont overflow
