Torres is a class player. I’ve always thought that way before he joined Liverpool. He’s the only player I like that plays for Liverpool. Oh, and I like Babel.
This guy get’s funnier by the minute
He’ll probably clain to have watched Torres play for Spain U’15s !!!!!
Still he thinks Rossi is a class player – says it all really

I obviously know more about football than you, Drivel..As I proved over and over again. The only footballers you know about are the ones before I was even born, yet you try to prove these points to me, because I have never seen them live or whatever. Well, how am I supposed to when I werent even born, you retard?.
Going to matches also doesn’t mean you know stuff about football(you going proves this). A lot of people who go to matches don’t even understand the game, or understand how it’s played.
Chow.
From an armchair viewer (or do you stil lhave a high chair) , thats rich
watching tv highlights or even live games on TV doesn’t give you the right to critiscise proper football supporters .
If you want to watch good youth players – watch Sunderland U’18s – they stuffed Liverpool last night in the FA Youth Cup
Liverpool were favourites to win the trophy for the 3rd year running – they were put to the sword last night in a tremendous game – 5 3 after extra time14 February, 2008 at 12:34 pm #308908@argyll wrote:
could a modern day footballer play with heavy leather boots?
a sodden wet cudger (as heavy as a medicine ball at times)(try heading the laces)
play for a shilling
even the strips were heavy…..so ….could the good old days footballer play in todays game…..probably
todays footballer is over paid, over hyped,up thier own French Connection UK fundamental orifice.
the good old day footballer is just….over the hill
there are too few modern day footballers play with any pride these days….its the pound before the pride
Good points Argie mate
However Robbo thinks that Martins (can’t trap a bag of cement) is a good footballer
He’s head down arse up and off like a sprinter – occassionally he mishits the ball and it rockets inot the net – however when he hits it properly its in row ZZZ of the Gallowgate endRobbo your point about fans who pay their money not knowing anything about football is way off target (unless you are a Newcastle fan of course)

i personally disagree i think cristiano ronaldo as much as i hate him is better than most.
george best looked good from footage iv seen but he wasted it so we will never know if he was a great or not.
in fairness drivel i personally think modern footballers are better footballers than those of the 70s etc
my reasons being…
fitness (nowadays footballers are athletes they dont meet up in the pub before and after a game, they have a strict diet and spend all their time training etc)
the human body is more advanced now due to training etc hence why sprinters are on average faster than they where 30 years ago.
if a player from the 70s was to play now in a premier league team they wouldnt stand a chance over 90 minutes because their physical fitness woldnt last also gone are the days of stupidly rough tackles.
its a different game now drivel, now you have 2 choices you can either sit there and sound a tiny bit dated moaning about the greats you have seen and how modern football isnt a patch on those good old standing room only days.
orrrrr
you can accept that the sport has moved on and advanced, you just didnt get on board that train when it left
theres still time for you though.
Of course there are the exceptions , Ronaldo apart , show me a player in the Premership who can ghost past defenders regularly
Of course the game has changed – fitness levels are higher , and the current laws about tackling , shoulder contact , arms risen are making the game a non contact sport
If you think speed is the main attribute , that looks to me the direction the game is heading to the detriment of skillI enjoy the Premiership , token , I am a season ticket holder and have been to all our away games too , bar one
All i’m saying is that Robbo , as well as having limited intelligence , wouldn’t know a good footballer , if he kicked him up the arse !!!!
Now let’s just all sit back and watch Newcastle get relegated , Keegan spit his dummy out and Mike Ashley sell the club

Like anyone is interested in watching Villarreal !!!!!
The Spanish and Italian leagues are crap to watch – it’s like watching a game of chess , or paint dry – you stick to that Robbo mate – leave the real football to folks that know what they are talking aboutYou know nothing about football! I remember the times when I used to make you look stupid when we discussed football. So you are better off leaving it there, DRIVEL.
So you are saying no one is interested in the Spanish league, or the Italian league? So everyone watches the Premier League, then? You really are a football knowledgeable wannabe!
You are incapable of making anyone look stupid you muppet !!!!
I have seen players you wouldn’t believe – I know the game’s changed – but calling Rossi a great player – is a bit much even for your limited intelligence
If you’d seen the likes of George Best , Denis Law , Rodney Marsh , Tony Green , Jimmy Baxter , Tony Currie , Don Rogers – any of those playing live – then you might have something to compare

I agree, he runs in straight lines, we are shit anyway, why not include a thoughtless wanker.
Dirty yid scum, when he learns how to be a winner in the top 4 of the table perhaps he will deserve a call up.
A bit like overrated Lampard? I can see that useless waste of space being dropped. Chelsea would be a far more effective team without him. Everyone outside of Chelsea can see that. Even players that he has played against have said that he is too slow, and struggles to pass the ball(pointing out the obvious here).
I would much prefer to have Lennon in the side than the overrated Lampard.
Robbo knows nowt about football – hence his comments
He likes a whole load of foreigners no one else has heard of – including Rossi – who couldn’t even get in a shit hot Newcastle team a

With all this crap happening at Newcastle, we might just finish above them this season, if we actually BUY SOMEONE!?!
Anyway McClaren for Newcastle, that should send them down for a while 8)
you seem to forget Mclaren got a team to the uefa cup final…
i think personally the geordie “fans” need to lower their horizons and stop referring to themselves a huge force in football
I personally think all Geordie fans should jump off the Tyne Bridge – the only way that club will get any success is with an empty stadium – the fans rule the roost there

Bag of f00king sh ite   How can they up there game against the big clubs and play worse than a sunday f00king league against scumberland
Mcfaddan the only 1 trying so far plus a good couple of balls of kapo
TAYLOR NEEDS TO GO AND GO NOW
No goalie NO f00king goakie lets a ball bounce in the 6 yard box and not try to come for it
You cannot rely on your back line they are there yes but if they f00k up then its down to you to try and save the ball
Right second half on in a min
Less of the Sumberland Sunny – I enjoyed the match
What everyone seems to forget – there was a bloody gale blowing straight up and down the pitch
We had half our team missing – and I must admit the referee gave us most of the decisions – except Prica’s 2nd goal – but I am surprised that Forsell doesn’t get a start
That young kid who came on with orange boots – apart from being a mouthy git – is a cracking footballer25 January, 2008 at 2:47 pm #306983@sword wrote:
Similar in sorts…
Why do lesbians use penis shaped dildo’s? And why is it that usually one of them is invariably the dominant partner with shaven hair and dressed like a bloke? Never really understood it.
Nice analogy Sword
I wonder that too
How come man hating dykes – get their partners to look like a swaety builder , don a strap on , then ferk them like a bloke ???
It dont make sense
As for vegetarians – I bet there is a load they eat or wear which contains some extract of animal that they no nothing about !!!
