if the sole reason for refusing a person a job was the type of clothing they wear then it is a dark day for civilisation
you’ve lost the plot luv.
If you’re an employer you should be allowed to make the decision about who works for you. And believe it or not the clothes you wear ARE important when going for an interview as we were taught when we were younger.
If I went for an interview in my pyjamas I wouldn’t expect to get the job and if I DID get the job it’d be for a company I really wouldn’t want to work for. :roll:Disagree entirely- your own hairstyle or how you dress has no relation, IN THIS JOB, to her ability or her prospects.
My local barbers charge £15 for a haircut n one of the stylists is bald as a babies bum- should they sack him as he cannot “display” the latest fashion in hairware?
Your clothes at an inerview should be a reflection of who you are and what image you wish to portray hence turning up in pyjamas would likely get you viewed as a lazy ar/se- turning up in a hijab would likely get you viewed as a muslim and nothing else
And I disagree entirely with you Slayer
Of course how you dress is a reflection of who you are – so lowering the dress code is about right for today’s society o f low morals and zero respect
If i’m an employer – i’m taking the risks , i’m paying the wages , therefore show some respect and dress as i request – otherwise take a hike
Unfortunately in todays wishy washy liberal society of politically correct nonces , it seems to be anyone’s human right to do as they please
If she wanted the job all she had to do was take the hijab off – because she wont – then she’s not suitable for the job – simple as

well everyone got intrestin insights into this case as usual…
firstly noones knows the full details as its all hearsay etc…
yes this woman needs help etc, BUT what she did wither under delunsions etc or not she has taken 2 innocent lifes, then her 3rd baby hangin in a balance, then her husband and family and distroyed them all, yes she needs help but she can’t be excused for her actions, and has to pay for that….
Mary, when and if her sanity is ever restored to her, the woman will more than ‘pay’ for this for the rest of her life. Her anguish is unimaginable.
As for not being excused for her actions – by dint of being detained under THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT that is exactly what the legal system will decree – that she IS excusable for her actions as she was not in possession of her mental faculties when she commited them.Simple solution : Hang her – then she wont have any more anguish – if she ever gets any that is
We are far too soft in today’s society if we are looking at making excuses for the cold blooded killings of 2 kids !!!Nice to see you back fit and fighting anyway Essie – Grim xx

so if you dont win the premiership ya struggling?
Excuse me but are you saying that Sunderland didn’t struggle this season? :-s
We struggled at times – but the determination and resilience of Keane has rubbed off on the team – hence the spate of late goals
I have only missed 3 games – home and away all season – throughly enjoyed it – some of our home performances have ben excellent – i think until a few weeks ago we have the best home record outside of the top 6 or 7
We have the fifth highest average crowd attendance in the premiership (43,097) , so i think we deserve a bit of success
Only against Man U at home – did I think we were outplayed – against all of the others I thought we could get something out of our home matches

Yup…until next season.
Not at all – Sunderland will be a force to reckon with next season
Keane has done a brilliant job – 18 months on – taking us from 2nd bottom of the Championship to the Premiership – and staying there
With another 60M or so to spend , hopefully we will get a few bigger name signings
I can’t understand the reluctance of the so called stars to snub the North East – (Newcastle included) Its a great place – beautfiul coastline , superb countrysides – brilliant habitants – what more do they want ???
