    No No NO it’s more importatnt to get that TXT MSG through!!!!!!!….isn’t it?

    World markets hit by Wall Street woes
    Stocks in Asia and Europe continued to tumble Tuesday following Wall Street’s worst day since markets reopened seven years ago after the 9/11 terror attacks. Tokyo’s Nikkei fell 4.95 percent while the Hong Kong Hang Seng shed 5.9 percent as the effects of Lehman Brothers’ collapse reverberated around the world.

    There will not be many smileys being sent from anyone working through the above.

    No need ”To purchase” just go for a ride on the london underground the ”authorities” leave them laying around for you to pick up with the added bonus of;

    Thousands of convicts personal data files

    or

    Details of everyone registered by the UK driving agency DVLA

    or

    Details of every prison warden in the country etc etc…..

    Free laptop packed with lots of personal details to sell to a complete stranger for a small fortune.

    Hospitals have cheap laptops as well, I think my local health trust lost quite a few last year.

    Why buy they are giving them away for free.

    :lol:

    Question is;

    When they fire up this 70 billion pound box and long tube does anyone know what is going to happen;

    Options are*

    1. Big puff of smoke and a whirring noise
    2. The sky splits open and we disappear into a black hole (my fave one!)
    3. We realise lots of money has gone down (or up) the tube with which instead we could have changed the financial climate in the EU and outsmarted the Americans (no great shakes there then)
    4.Mars will start spinning out of control and land in Meadomsley Rd consett on the site of the old Phileas fog savoury snacks factory

    What do you reckon?

    We’re going to have a resident poet
    Aren’t we lucky and we dont know it
    the lines shall contain words and jest
    inline no doubt with all the rest

    It’s refreshiong too see there is some fun
    better than the usual verbal cyber gun
    lets hope this offer is fully upstanding
    as this cyber world is so demanding

    so with glee and an angst we do wait
    for the condusive ramblings of our new mate
    welcome fellow actor of all we have, just words
    come do your best and be not seen just heard

    I’d like to think they had a pot of money for ”special sympathy cases”!

    I mean these are extenuating circumstances surely?

    Herman,

    Quickly sling some fresh orange juice over it and claim you spilt a drink then claim on your contents insurance and get a brand new one man!!!

    BTW Orange juice is best because the acidic qualities ruin the gold contents of the guts of the thing.

    Use your head mate not your big toe (get it?)

    Nasa spent millions of pounds inventing a pen that would write in space, It took years to develop and make perfect, When talking to a russian agency Nasa found out the opposition was ahead of them ………..

    They used a pencil

    Sledge hammer to smash a walnut syndrome……….

    Necrophilia in mortuarys isn’t as uncommon as you might imagine – in spite of Esme’s tongue in cheek comments.

    When I was a student (in the 1930’s lol) I had a holiday job as a ‘nurse’ in an old folk’s home and did a twice a week shift in the attached mortuary.

    It was a well known ‘fact’ (according to local informed gossip) that one of the mortuary attendants always made a point of staying late alone whenever a deceased female was admitted.

    One week when I arrived for my shift, I was told that he had been sacked, having been caught in flagante with one of said female corpses. However, major efforts went into hushing it up in case any of the relatives found out and leaked it to the press.

    It was later said that this bloke couldn’t tell the difference between the response he got from a cadaver and that which he got from his girlfriend….. only that he didn’t have to say thank you afterwards to the cadaver.

    And he didn’t have to buy her a drink or dinner beforehand!!!!!!!!

    or afterwards either :lol:

    It was thanks to a ‘have a go’ hero on Saturday night that a member of staff in a different branch to mine, was saved a beating or a stabbing last saturday night.

    Another member of staff at the branch, is in some trouble it seems with local gangs, this isn’t the first time he’s brought trouble to the shop,,,,,it was though, the first time he’d legged it away from this group, leaving the female member of staff on her own, to deal with it.

    A neighbour from across the road, plus another man who was walking along, put themselves between Tina, and this baying mob, feeling I would suspect, that while they couldn’t get the real culprit, remember he’d legged it, really big man eh :roll: that they could ”get” another innocent person instead. Thanks to the two guys who stepped in, and whats more, took Tina home, making sure she arrived home safely!! it was avoided.

    The district manager of the branch has now been informed of the incident, it’s also been logged with the police (for all the good that is) :roll:, plus the company security bods, are now going to visit the store with a view to implementing further safety measures. The member of staff responsible? well safe to say that his days are numbered.

    Well done them……

    I’d buy them a beer and it makes you proud to be a Brit (Now I hear there from another part of the EU) I’m proud to be in the EU then……..

    All joking aside!

    Well done who-ever they were!
