Barclays chairman Marcus Agius resigned (Before the shove came and he was disgraced) and also tendered his resignation as chairman of the BBA (Can’t imagine why!!!)
Mr Diamond said in a letter to staff that he would “get to the bottom” of what happened
The Serious Fraud Office (OH Dear we are deep in the doo doo’s now branch of our fragile legal system) considered whether to bring criminal charges against bankers who tried to manipulate the inter-bank lending rate (Dont think about it DO IT!!!)
Prime Minister Cameron (Who doesn’t know the price of a pint of milk) announced a parliamentary review of the banking sector (Stand by your beds for another tax funded Leveson enquiry) to be headed by the chairman of the Treasury Committee, Andrew Tyrie (Gazza’s favourite pub crawl location). The review should ensure that the UK had the “toughest and most transparent rules of any major financial sector (And on that exceedingly huge steaming pile of cow dung I shall go and sit) said Mr Cameron.Someone needs to get a grip of this financial mess and sweep it up!

Or use some of the money to get some ground breaking treatment although when it’s spreading at the rate we are hearing it is best thing to do (sensibly) is to plan the end

Sunday 1st Feb.
I went out for a walk this afternoon – about 3pm to 5pm. It was beautiful clear, sunny weather, though cold and windy. As I went on my way, something began to dawn on me.
I had not seen or heard a single aircraft in the sky, which was clear from horizon to horizon. No vapour trails from high-flying airliners. No light planes from flying clubs, no helicopters, nothing. So I made a point for the rest of my walk of trying to spot any planes or vapour trails. Not one!
I’m in the Somerset/Wiltshire border area and there are always planes about, even on a winter Sunday afternoon. Airliners fly over on regular flightpaths for a start, and there are several flying clubs in the area.
This seemed so spooky I wondered whether something was going on that caused all flights to be grounded. When I turned on the TV news there was nothing to suggest this and the travel teletext was listing lots of incoming flights. It’s now 11pm, 6 hours on, and I still haven’t heard a single aircraft fly over.Come on admit it you live in Iraq and all flights were grounded because of the local election!!!!!!!
Your secrets out*
