Oh Autumn…
If you truly want chatwomen to avoid this creature the worst thing you can do is state what a player/ utter cad/ general bad-egg he is.
The lasses will be chewing their keyboards to find out his chatname!!Now repost again and say what a lovely, affable chap he is.
Job done!6 October, 2012 at 1:27 pm #512230@panda12 wrote:

Whoever “they” maybe, they are talking bollards – you only need to look @ Anne Frank to realise that.
Are they? And who were the victors in that particular case? If the Nazi’s had won that war do you think we would know of Anne Frank?
Read one of Murray Kendall’s book on the Kingmaker but never the Richard one. Might have to take a look!
4 October, 2012 at 8:23 pm #512224History is written by the victors, as they say. The modern perception of Richard derives from Thomas More and Shakespeare. More was a bit of a Tudor spin-doctor before losing his head and we all know that Shakes was writing entertainment for the public and his Tudor queen.
As has been said Henry had more of a motive for doing away with the princes, and Henry proved to have no qualms about judicial murder. Richards young nephew the earl of Warwick for instance. No-one can say for sure. The princes ‘disappeared’ in 1483 but did they die in 1483?As for where he (if it is him) should be buried, well I say York. Westminster and Windsor have enough royalty.
Apologies for putting this back on topic…..

Did Gandhi and Nelson Mandela not dabble in a bit of it themselves?
But their ’cause’ was just. Depending on who you talk to!If I understood it correctly Norwegian law only allows a maximum of 21 years. After that he is out, unless classed as insane, which they have ruled he is not.
Does the law allow for him to kept inside if he is still a ‘danger to society’?27 August, 2012 at 7:01 pm #507457At many times Mr Castro has been reported dead – without ever actually dying!
He’s still with us I believe.I saw this Taliban story this morning. It was a celebration and the taliban objected to the fact both men and women were ‘mingling’ and celebrating together.
These people are evil, simple as.Afghans have known nothing but war, its so sad.
24 August, 2012 at 8:33 pm #50741577 young lives taken, 21 years in jail possibly out in 10..
And i thought British justice sucked…
16 August, 2012 at 11:34 am #506899Humans are the most intelligent beings. But our use of the gifts we have been given leave alot to be desired.
All cases involving children are sickening. But this involves a Grandmother, the supposed matriarch or the family. I suspect most of us would not hesitate to trust our parents, their grandparents, with our children. She then went out to ‘search’ wearing a ‘missing’ shirt emblazoned with the image of her grandchild, who it appears was in the loft. What sort of person is this?
No condemnation is severe enough for these people, no punishment harsh enough. If guilty.
I hope this doesn’t turn into a police bashing exercise and that we remain focused on the guilty.
8 August, 2012 at 7:00 pm #505090Interesting yet somewhat simplistic logic above.
Your statistics don’t account for the quality of the athletes.
The USA and China have an enormous pool of people to pick their athletes from so it stands to reason that theirs will be of a very high standard and thus monopolize the medals.
Would be interesting to know the percentage of young people in those countries actively competing in sports compared to us. I’d guess it will be much higher.I’m so proud of team GB though. I can imagine a whole generation taking up sport because of them. If so the cost has been worth it!
Saying that though when i asked my children if the Olympics had been on in their their house they answered no! I hope that’s not the norm!7 August, 2012 at 5:21 pm #506648A real ‘Our tune’ moment…
(Young ones won’t know what I’m on about)
I imagined this being read by Simon Bates himself. Or was it Mayo?
Wiped away a tear and handed over an imaginary Oscar.
