Hangin’ in there. :)
Personally, I think this place is worth hanging out. Sometimes the boards are good, sometimes the chat is good. Sometimes both are good. Sometimes they aren’t. :)
As sites go, it’s my fave. -

I think eventually, we will likely pay it. Wondering if I could pay for an entire year up front vs. a subscription monthly?

Is it worse for loved ones to keep back medical crises or to share them?
I have heard it on both ends of the scale from friends and loved ones saying they didn’t tell me of something because they didn’t want to upset or worry me.. to those who shared because they didn’t want to upset me if it was something serious. What do you think? Have you…[Read more]

I heard of a few local layoffs.. I think the economy is dumping after Christmas. Its a weird thing, and I hope I am wrong.. but it is rare for me to hear of layoffs – these are not factory jobs or such… Hmmm..

Just. Too. Tired. at the end of each day… traffic, traffic again, traffic a third time, work 7+ hours straight, hungry when I leave work, more traffic, pick up baby, more traffic again, get home, make dinner, walk dog, do chores, try to watch a movie and pass out.
Well… at least last night we built some legos together! ;) -

Rang in the New Year with my loved ones, and I am virtually the last man standing. How was your New Year celebration? :)

Still not much time to get online.. all the holidays have been quite demanding lately.
On the upside, though, losing weight, losing inches, and a little happier (if not more tired) every day. Hope to chat or write words in boards sometime soon… Family first! :) -

20 mins. chasing my son and a flock of preschoolers around a massive playground, 10 mins. at the beach with feet in the sand and surf (and more chasing), a teensie frozen yogurt, and a speed shopping escapade to pick up dinner and fixings for tomorrow.
I’m beat. Too beat to even go and get water tonight. Simply…time for a glass of ale, some…[Read more] -

It has been a truly wonderful and joyous Christmas! Happy Birthday, Jesus, and thanks for celebrating it with us! How lovely a day and weekend and just life has been! Trials only satisfy on the end of them when we see all you have done with what we have been through.
Life is fabulous! Family and friends are what matters. I hope you all had a…[Read more] -

I am happy, the lights are twinkling, the stars are gently moving on our ceiling. The Spirit descended on our home, and everyone is happy – has been since yesterday. This night, we celebrate Jesus’ birthday, He has been so kind to share with us!
I have tried to spread joy wherever I have been.. and have a note for a few more things – and HE ins…[Read more] -

Draculina,
I really don’t think it’s anyone’s business to question what you do with your household. It’s your choice how to run your household, you are the one who reaps from it. You are the one with the burden of all of the responsibilities and all of the joys. On my threads, at least, you never need feel like you have to explain yourself. Hang…[Read more]

Hi Laine1. Thank you for sharing your celebration of Yule. Happy Yule to you.
btw, I can’t resist – Christianity was around long before it came to Greece and Rome… before our saviour, it was called Judaism, and we were waiting for our saviour.
Just fyi. :)
Otherwise, my mum was a Wiccan.

Driving in the touristy Christmas-shopping craziness soon.. Not feeling too well.. Think someone gave me an early Christmas gift.. and it’s not a good one. It’s ok, I will get well soon. :) I hope you are each well and blessed.

My neighbor stopped me this evening and made a comment. I said, in reply, that I don’t think non-Christians should be offended at non-Christian peaceful holidays, and I don’t think that non-Christians should be offended at Christian peaceful holiday – Christmas and Easter.
When someone wishes me well, I am just thankful for the kind sentiment…[Read more]

Just got home.. spent most of the day at the urgent care centre with my Unk. He’s ok, but he’s got some things that he’s dealing with and can really use some prayers.

Just normal activities of a day, family time, finish decorating the second Christmas tree outside, enjoying time at Church, and time with the family. Its going to be a busy week, and I am happy. We are all fighting colds of sorts. How are you?

I absolutely love Christmas, and Easter.. I used to really love St. Patrick’s Day…
Even before I became an adult and came to my own beliefs, in a non-Christian household, we had Christmas Trees, Christmas carols, and more.
We were never offended – nor were the atheists, agnostics, or even eastern religion friends my parents had by.
Are you…[Read more]

Do you believe human life has an inherent value?
What is it? Why is it?
And a related question… why does something have to have value to be appreciated? Or to exist? Why do we, as humans, feel this need to justify the existence of… anything.. anyone?

I have read a number of growing articles about automation and the death of the jobs markets as we know them. In the U.S., we have kiosks that ring up our groceries without a person – one staffmember to fix problems for 6-8 lanes. We now have added these “kiosks” in eating establishments like Panera Bread, McDonalds, and such.
I, for one, will not…[Read more]

When ya’ll say pub, you mean like an American lounge, right?
If that is the case, then I would understand it not being up to snuff. It depends on my mood whether I will send something back politely or just eat it, or just abstain. I don’t think sending food back ruins the night, if you are polite, then I think it can be done.. but if, for some…[Read more]
