14 December, 2008 at 10:20 am #381178A well deserved outcome. She is a lovely girl who has shown that you don’t have to have an edge or some sob story to win votes. She won because she was the best my a long shot, and her duet with Beyonce was 1st class. 8)
Whatever happened to Michelle McManus. :-k :- O:)

11 December, 2008 at 7:22 pm #387861It makes me so sad when adults cannot grasp the magical world that children can believe in. The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Santa, all have make-believe abilities to reach out around the world and for one moment make the life of a child that much more special. Yes they do grow up, and yes they will realise that it isn’t true. Why anyone would want to destroy the magic and wonder just because they want the child to grow up and realise life isn’t like that is beyond me. We all believed in the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, and Santa, we believed that a bunny could deliver millions of eggs, that a tiny fairy took away our teeth, and that a happy man in a red suit visited all the good boys and girls around the world.
The world is a hard enough place to be in, and if a mythical man flying around the world with 8 reindeer brings happiness to a child, so what! Far better to have something to believe in, than to have no dreams at all.
11 December, 2008 at 10:44 am #387850Nothing like spoiling the magic of christmas for those little mites before they grow older and lose that precious innocence. There is nothing more magical than seeing a child’s eyes light up when they see Santa. Just as well it wasn’t a teacher that was there all the time, I can imagine the uproar. Personally I would have sourced some reindeer poo and dumped it on her desk and said, “Now you tell me Santa isn’t real” 8)
7 December, 2008 at 5:50 pm #381172pml @ little splotchy red face. Glad she’s gone too. Poor little eggnog. I hope Alex wins it because she hasn’t stood and bleated about a hard life, or the dead dog from when she was 2 and that’s why she’s there. She’s embraced the whole experience. She deserves it just for putting up with the rest of the x-whingers.

7 December, 2008 at 2:44 am #387664The only positive thing about this case is that Shannon is alive, away from her mother, and hopefully with time and guidance, will grow up learning more valuable morals about life than she ever would have learned at home.
