Is the ‘One too many rude calls’ in the ‘Best of’ section from when you called PB?
Additionally our host tells us there are only two other sites on the machine…. quite worrying but in all honesty I doubt this is the case with most virtual servers. I think our hosts are running old Atari STs for servers – surely not the case with most other companies!
We are on a virtual server at the moment believe it or not. Besides as our epals section grows and with new additions a dedicated server would secure our future growth without continued disruption.
Yeah I think the ‘high performance’ server they placed us on is made from a Kellogs Cornflakes box. There are only two other sites on the server too :roll:
Anyway we will go dedictaed in the next month or so – that should see a good improvement and we can then reindex the boards so the search function is back and working fully.
Re-cranked. We will be looking into a new server move shortly – things are a little awkward for me to do this right away, hopefully we will make the move in a month or so; things will then be significantly faster. I completely agree that the speeds we sometimes get reduced to at present are unacceptable.

Isn’t it a little hypocritical saying killing is wrong, then punishing a killer by killing them?!?
