We’ve just seen this thread – skipped the crap – good luck with your fundraising, we did a 5K walk last year on behalf of the Weston Park Cancer Hospital in Sheffield and it was a lovely day and we raised over £2K helped with the generosity of my chat friends made here on JC and Patschat – just goes to show that good causes can come out of internet friendships!.
We also used the Justgiving website to collect the sponsorship money and can vouch that it is very credible, easy to use and the simplist of way to donate online.

A big big big thank you for everyone who has donated to the Weston Park Hospital Cancer charity and for all your email messages of support. We had a lovely day yesterday doing the 5K “walk as one” on Sunday morning. Jessica Ennis Sheffield’s own World Heptathlon Champion started the walk after we all did our salsa dancing warm up routine (Pete was very embarrassed!!). We did the 5K in a very respectful 44 minutes and 23 seconds and Pete was very pleased to beat Darth Vader and the Storm Trooper, the “Recycled Teenagers”, Batman and Robin and The Incredibles, I was just pleased to finish!
Our target was £500 and we have already collected £770, thank you very much for your donation it means a lot to us and to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

p.s. Emily and Golden are still “swimmingly” thank you….. however I did errrrr :oops: have a little “run in” with a kestral/owl over the weekend which has managed to break my car headlight but at least the bird had a quick-end even though it did stick to my bonnet like “garfield” until I went around a corner and then hit the wing mirror as it went by.. whoooooppppppppssssss!!!!! :lol: :shock:

having a “free” eye test and then forking out for glasses and lenses when I thought my eyes were fine… just goes to show you, don’t leave it 6 years inbetween eye tests grrrrrrr
