At the end of the day, it’s going to take something of a minor miracle for either of these girls to survive, their parents are aware of that and I for one, as iv’e said before, am glad that i’m not in their shoes, it must be awful.
However!,,,,,twice now, iv’e said that at least one, if not two, other children will die in order for these two to survive, won’t that be equally as heartbreaking for the families involved, cos iv’e noticed pete that youve said nothing about that, but then maybe you just think im being sarcastic and awkward

The oppresion or suppression thing is probably best suited to other posts instead of this one, iv’e no idea, maybe trying to use as an example, I dunno! i’m not in his head!
As for it being awkward and sarcastic and i’m possibly the only person who doesnt see that! please dont tell me what I do and dont see Pete, maybe i’m stupid but I didn’t see anything sarcastic in someone pointing out that other children in the world are also suffering, the list could be endless. The child who was starved to death by her parents, children who die every day at the hands of their parents. There are many injustices in this world, are we being awkward and sarcastic in pointing them out?!

wtf had that to do with this thread and how does pointing out others are suffering lessen the heartbreak of these children
You could day it doesnt have anything to do with it. I didnt see anywhere where it said it did lessen the heartbreak of these children, will it lessen the heartbreak of the parents who’s children may die in whatever way that enables the two of them to live, no, of course it wont, but its an opinion all the same!!!To be fair tictax, he’s not the only person being petty is he, if thats what you want to call it, he did after all, say that they weren’t the only children in the world suffering, so i’d have to suggest that if your going to call him out for being petty, then you should also call out the other person who’s being petty.

True thin, I take your point and no they can’t look after themselves and need us to look after them, that I dont have a problem with. I think it’s a bit much though, that animals should have more rights than human beings when it comes to medication, and the correct labelling of it, not just that, but the fact that there are laws in place governing it. If there are laws in place governing correct labelling of drugs for animals, then those laws should apply to drugs for human beings too, and they don’t, thats all i’m saying really, and I did say before the animal lovers start jumping and down etc.,
No Pete, in fact I dont think there was a part specifically about cancer drugs anyway, but just drugs in general, drugs sold on the internet for a variety of ailments and also drugs sold in these (mostly) chinese herbal shops, a lot of which were found to contain things from animals who are becoming extinct.
It showed some drugs that were labelled and the general joe public wouldnt have any idea that it was a fake, well not until they were lying on a morticians slab anyway, by which time it’d be too late, and that was because of the often lethal mixtures used in these drugs. The labelling on one of them was exactly the same, except that the print on one, was much darker , and that was the fake, the real drug, the labelling on it was very faint.
It is heartbreaking, and like so many other stories, one that i’m sure many of us are glad were not the ones having to make the choices.
In order for both of these girls to survive it quite possibly means that two other children will die, in whatever circumstances, for these two to receive heart and in the case of one of them anyway, a liver transplant.
It must be the worst kind of decision to have to make, not just for the parents, but for the surgeons and specialists involved in any procedure to seperate these two girls. There are risks that need to be addressed before any such procedure would be decided upon, so lets wait and see till then, and wish all of them, all the luck.
I agree really, why would anyone want to reform someone like him, the countless others who kill, and for what, what are the reasons behind it, we never know that one do we, what we hear is manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, or in the case of these two, what exactly were their reasons for doing what they did.
No, the only way to deal with this kind of :-k I cant even think of what to call them, certainly not human beings, is to lock them up and throw away the key, never allow them freedom again, never take the chance that they may do it again, to someone else, and destroy more lives

I’m not altogether sure what petes saying about the labelling of these ‘fake’ drugs. Having watched the programme, most of these drugs were labelled, they showed the difference between a real label and a fake one, maybe i’m having a blonde moment.
On the whole, i’m amazed and left wondering why animals have more rights than human beings, i think i did make that point, and no one yet, seems to have a reply to that
I watched James Bulgers mum on the ‘This Morning’ programme today.
Who would want to be in that womans shoes, not one of us. She rightly said that both of these lads have been treated like some kind of stars, millions of pounts have been spent on them.
For what? for at least one of them to stick his fingers up at the law and think he’s invincible and way above it, because thats what he’s been led to believe by the way he’s been treated. Well at least now he is back in prison, an adult prison, where he belongs, and I for one hope that he remains there for a very very long time :evil:
