I totally agree with you Kenty.
It’s a hard enough job as kenty says, having to have eyes everywhere cos of the theiving lil gits who’ll snatch anything if you take your eyes off them for a second, the constant bending, having to explain to customers what you have and don’t have and the prices. All this isn’t going to stop people smoking, people make a choice to smoke, and the last time I checked, we live in a free country with free speech, or so I thought
As for the pubs closing down, there have been a lot of pubs closing in this area, not only due to the recession, but also that people who liked to have a smoke with their pint, or glass of wine, are no longer allowed to but are ostracised and have to stand outside like some kind of leper. Everywhere you go now, you see these signs, ‘smoking is not allowed in this building’. Why then!! are they still allowed to have a ‘smoking room’ in the house of commons!!! another set of one rule for us and a totally different one for them
5 October, 2009 at 10:52 am #418128I am entirely satisfied you were a loving mother who cared fully for your child

Some of these judges are so detatched from reality, how can he say this when this child was subjected to weeks!! of abuse at the hands of this bully!!!
I hope he gets what he deserves. I hope she does too, any mother who allows this kind of thing to happen to her child doesn’t deserve children, and if this went on for weeks, as stated in these reports, no ones going to convince me she didn’t know about it. But oh no, what we get is that she was also a victim of this bloke. grrrrrrrrrrrr
I agree with eve, life should mean life, not 6 years and out in 3 for him to do it all over again, cos he will. :twisted:4 October, 2009 at 3:07 pm #409753I agree with you Sarah about Jamie, he’s good.
I think that despite Ronan Keating advising him against it, he’s going to put those pair of arrogant morons through
I agree to thats whats more annoying is that other groups, a million times better, are being sent home in favour of the irish tw@ts!!!!
Never mind, if it runs true to form and theres already a hate/dislike campaign going on, they’ll be voted off by the public soon. 8)

1 October, 2009 at 11:42 am #417804Am so with you on this one Kenty. We both work in the kind of profession where we have to daily put up with the lil scrotes.
I even ended up in an argument (more on her part) with a woman who’s daughter had come in the shop and asked for a bottle of vodka, I asked her age, she said quite c ockily, i’m 14! and!,,,,,said well, and! I don’t think so and refused to serve her. 5 minutes later the mother was back with said daughter, looking even more c ocky and asked for a bottle of vodka, while berating me for refusing to serve her daughter, I refused to serve her also. She said she allowed her daughter to drink vodka and it was none of my business, said no, your quite right, it isn’t, it is however, my business as to whether I serve you with it, it’s against the law, and that I wasn’t about to risk my licence in selling to underage, and not selling it to her knowing that she was going to give it to her daughter. I took and passed my licence exam and so I know, that serving alchohol to someone knowing that theyre going to pass it to someone underage, is equal in offence, in the law. She demanded the telephone number of head office, said she didn’t like my attitude, was going to report me and would see me out of a job. I gave her the information she required and she left, all the while shouting and screaming her abuse at me. Bottom line though, can you really blame the 14 year old for her behaviour, when she has such a role model.
Good for Mr Kent I say, believe me Kenty, there are so many times when i’d love to be able to give the lil shytes a belt round the ear.

Yes he should, he should be treated like anyone else guilty of such a horrific crime
28 September, 2009 at 6:09 pm #417533Maybe Ofsted will also come up with having to be vetted by them when your thinking of starting a family, so that they can judge whether or not you’d be suitable parents
