Hi everyone, just to let you know that we are still going on with the campaign, Janet Dean is now on board with us, and with her help we may be able to get somewhere with this. It’s all a bit of a comedown now after all the hustle and bustle of doing the petition campaign. but we are both glad of the rest. speak to you again soon.
Oh ok, i thought that once the petition was signed then that would be it for all of you, sorry for misjudging you. Anyway Nick and I went to Downing Street last Thursday, it was a long way to go just to hand in pieces of paper, but we both really enjoyed the day, even though I did get really bad blisters. We handed in the petition, then we were given a tour of the House of Commons that other people dont get to see which was interesting. It was all a wonderful experience for both of us, and it wasn’t at all stressful for us because we went on the train so it was nice and relaxing.
Hi hope you haven’t forgotten us. anyway just to say, can you please take this topic off the board now, there is nothing to tell now so its pointless keeping it up here.
If you had read through this thread you would be fully aware that the Yorkdhire Ripper never received any money at all.
I hope that we get something good out of this and all our hard work will not have been in vain. I cannot say how grateful we all are for all of your help. Nick and I are overwhelmed by the response
yeah everything is going great, i think this is the start of something big for us and other people. once again thank you to all of you, you have been great.
HI everyone, we went to Downing Street yesterday and everything went very very well. We have now got to wait to see what happens. But we just wanted to say thank you everyone, especially PB for all your help. It means a great deal to us both. THANK YOU XX
CAN I JUST REMIND EVERYONE THAT THE PETITIONS NEED TO BE IN BY THE END OF THIS WEEK SO THAT THEY CAN BE COUNTED READY FOR US TO TAKE TO DOWNING STREET, THANK YOU.
I’m not sure how that relates to the last post, but the nursing training is free, but Nick has to give up work to do the training because it is a demanding course, and because he would have to give up work for 3 years he needs an amount that would enable him to live and provide security for himself and his young family. That is the point that needs to be put across.
Just to remind you that we are writing a book, and if anyone would like to read some of the first chapter then we will be willing to put it on just chat for you. Also another reminder that petitions have got to be in by 15th February. When our campaign is over its going to be quite a come-down, so thats why we may be thinking of starting up our own organisation to help other people. We have some ideas of what to do, but not entirely 100% sure of where to start etc….. At the moment the main thing is to get to Downing Street and then take it from there. I know we haven’t been doing much on here, and all the excitement has died down, but the pressure is still on and we still need all the help we can get, so keep up the good work whatever you are doing.
