I used to own an old folks home before I got divorced and had to sell it
I was always amazed that I had to spend my Christmas day with 50% of my residents
They all had families
Don’t get me wrong
My xmas days were brilliant
but fgs
every one of them could have spent that day with their families
Instead they had to spend it with me and my family
I could see the disappointment in their faces
It opened my eyes

by the time you left me I was a giggling wreck
You drove all that way for me

I am one of the lucky ones

This is my 3rd attempt at writing this post
The other two attempts were absolutely brilliant and witty
but I tried to end it with our secret sign and it booted me
grrrr
Now I’ve just tipped all my baccy over the keyboard :roll:

I’ve been using JC for well over 6 years
I had one year off for good behaviour
I even did a leaving thread but soon got drawn back in

anyways….

One day when I was at one of my lowest points and had imprisoned myself in my self pity room
there was a knock at the door.
I looked out of my bedroom window to see a bluddy flower covered car!!
Anyone else I would have ignored (even my mum)
I’d never met you before but we had spoken on the phone
