Go to the microsoft web site and try downloading winsock. It fixed my java probs.

I havnt downloaded anything to my pc yet pete. Do I have to download it to my pc first, then burn it onto a cd? Also, I have lots of cd,s and I want to burn my fave tracks onto a blank cd. I have a fear of heights, I tried to combat it a few yrs back one Christmas, I had been askin my hubby to get the decorations down from the loft for days, which he hadn’t, so I thought to myself “ok, they’re just up in the loft, there’s a perfectly safe ladder, you’ll be just fine, you can do it” so up I went, I gingerly collected all the decorations but froze when it was time to come down the ladder, I came out in a sweat and started shaking, and to look down the ladder made me feel physically sick, basically I was stuck there until my Mum helped me down, I felt so stupid and don’t think I’ll ever conquer that fear :roll:

Thanks Angelxx. I still feel a right wally though lol. A few years ago now, the object of my terror apeared in my sons bedroom. I slammed the door and ran into my bedroom shutting the door. I sat there with my leg shaking with fright. I seriously thought about jumping out of the window to get out of the house in case the “thing” was on the landing.(It was only a short drop to the grond lol) In the end I peeked out of the door and and it hadnt, so I ran downstairs and next door to my neighbour, who must have thought I was crazy. I was crying and nearly hysterical. She had to come in and get rid of the ofending “thing” for me. FFS. Bring on the pills lol. :oops: :oops: :oops: Silly Bat.

I have a terrible phobia. I darent say what it is though, people will think I,m really stupid. And I am. Thats just it. I KNOW, it,s irrational, I KNOW that the thing i,m so terrified of cant hurt me, I KNOW all this yet when I see one, my heart pounds, and I panic and I have to get away from it. If someone told me to take 100 pills every day for the rest of my life because that would cure it i,d happily do so.

Nope. Someone did suggest uninstalling the drivers for the wireless keyboard but it didnt make a bit of diference. Balls to it. It,s getting sold.
