The dvd thingy came with 2 cd roms. One installed summat called
nero oem suite, which is a bit like windows media player and the other cd was cyberlink power dvd, BUT there was no activation key sent with the poxy bloody thing!! grrrrrrrr, plus, I didnt know about decoders, n one told me I needed one of them ffs, SO, thanks to you, bless ya, I,ve just purchased one on line. You get your e-mail teling you you,ve bought the thing, then u have to wait for another one to tellyou your activation code ffs. So once I,ve got that, hopefully I,ll be able to hear my dvd,s. Your sound card does not support hardware buffering. Sounds will only play back from sofware buffers.

The one in my comp tower is just a cd rom drive. I have an external burner plugged into my usb port. On the front it says,
RW RW DVDdvd ReWriteable DVD R DL R/RW
Does that mean I can just plug the burner in and watch a dvd on it?

wow!!! thanks petexPete I did it!! I had a cd rom that came with it that I,d installed. I was trying to use media player instead of that. Anyway it,s worked, BUT, tracks I,ve downloaded off the net I cant burn because they are protected!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr@copyright. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I put a cd in my cd rom drive on the pc then I ripped 2 tracks from it into my music files. I,ts when I try to burn them to a blank cd on the burner that I,m lost. I,m obviously NOT doing something right, questions is what?

Right well I,ve managed to do a couple of things. I,ve managed to rip a couple of tracks from a cd into my music files. When I click the media player, it lists the tracks and I tick a box and then tic, start burn, but although the track play,s it doesnt burn. :( FFS it,s a simple thing I want to do so what am I doing wrong pete? Oh and one more thing, I tried to reinstall my printer. No flamin chance. It says, if you have an installtion cd rom please insert now. I did 5 times!!! It said it couldnt find the f***ing thing!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: FFS
