I know lots of nutters. It seems that I’m possibly the only sane person left. I know this because I put the chairs back under the table when leaving a restaurant (except Pizza Hut the other day because I forgot). Mad people don’t do that – ever – except possibly if they’ve got Asberger’s syndrome.I scored the best ever marks in a Rorsach Ink-blot test. Some cover versions are better than the originals – only we often don’t realise they’re covers. I think the Pet Shop boys’ version of ‘Always on my Mind’ was better than the Elvis Presley original. Or was Elvis’s version a cover too, perhaps?
Some covers are so bad that the’re good – like Rolf Harris’ Stairway to Heaven. One of the all-time great missed opportunities was one for Led Zeppelin to reform to record a cover of ‘Tie me Kangaroo Down, Sport’.

If they used not only ugly, balding paunchy men but also ugly, obese coarse women, then that would surely cut sales.
Adevrtising to cut sales – now that would be something truly innovative.
I don’t drink much alcohol, I have to say. If we go out I’m usually driving so can’t drink and I’ve never found any great pleasure in getting plastered anyway. It’s more amusing watching others getting drunk!
