I wish i knew how to put the quotes in here grrr. What i meant sassy is sometimes, when you try to warn someone not to do something because you know what they are like it can kick in the stubborn gene in someone, who then feels they WANT to do it because someone has advised them not to do it. I hope that made more sense.
At the end of the day, you can’t win, if you tell people things, they spread it, if you refuse to tell people things, you are accused of being false and hiding things. At the end of the day, like LucyLocket said to me the other day, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone in the chatroom, and i think we should just try to have fun and ignore the trolls. Plus in a sort of weird way, if they are talking about you, its a compliment, they obviously think more of you than you do of them lol.
I agree it is a compliment…It often amuses me when I see the trolls make up crap about me, I just think who cares what they think? Not me…nor the people that know better. I do bite back sometimes but usually all these trolls want is for you to bite back…so why give in to them?

Ahhh Sassy, alas when someone tells you to do something, it makes you do it anyway. Plus there could be the “they wouldn’t do it to me im different” syndrome, but yeah, we all learn the hard way. Then there are the rumours and the lies ect.
Tiffany, dont let them get to you, and like me, learn to be wary before trusting people and yeah if someone warns us off certain people we should learn to listen!!
I agree though, i don’t think its right to talk about someone in the chatroom if they aren’t there to defend themselves.
When someone warns you about giving personal information to certain ppl, it makes you want to do it anyway? That doesn’t make sense to me. I’m talking about warning chatters from other specific chatters who are known for scrolling personal information in the rooms btw. I do think it is wrong to talk about chatters when they’re not in the room to defend themselves but unfortunately chat rooms love the gossip. Just like normal people in the real world.

12 February, 2012 at 7:43 am #489377I agree Huggs and I think you’d agree that before we enter the room we accept a few conditions..and one of them is do not give personal information out! Sometimes we think we can trust a person to keep these details to themselves but in my experience, I’ve learnt to just keep it to myself and trust only a few. I know I’ve warned a few people about giving out information to certain people but lo and behold they do it anyway and then cry when it’s been thrown into the room for everyone to read. Smarten up people!! It’s a chat room and sad people troll it. This shouldn’t be news to you!
6 February, 2012 at 1:10 pm #485550Fooking customers who think it’s a good idea to play chicken with you while you’re pushing something heavy in front of you!!! Don’t cry when I play the game too ;)

I think if everyone in F2 stopped thinking that everyone else thinks everyone is fake or a scroller or a name hider or in a popularity contest and actually did what is said on the tin and ‘JUST CHAT’ then you may just find that lots of the people would return. I pretty much only go in for the quiz now.
Easier said than done, I think Melody.

Just saying that it can take a while……..not quite two years but certainly several visits……
I think a big problem is, is that people are wary of new chatters being fakes. I know I’m a little wary but If i’m there and paying attention, I will say hello. Maybe you came in whilst I was busy pondering about the many issues of today. :)
2 February, 2012 at 11:33 am #484676I disagree, I think f2 is quite friendly. Like Hugs said as long as they aren’t abusing trolls then I’ll usually say hello to the new chatters. F1 and F3 can be quite hard to get into unless you know a few regulars. Liven up f2!
