I really don’t like the thought of her getting in my husband’s ear about me not bringing the boys into her work to see her when she heard that I brought them into my husband’s work! Honestly, does she really think she plays that big of part in their lives? I’ll admit, they do get to go see my mom at her work. But, my mom sees them 2-3 times a week, babysits them at a drop of a hat, calls when they are sick (and days after they are better to make sure they are better) and knows everything about them. My Monster-in-law didn’t see them for 2.5 months because she thought we should call her to see them. WTF?? AND, to top it off, she completely favors my husband’s sister’s child. All she talks about is him and how wonderful he is. And she wants me to bring my son’s into her office so she can show them off? F*ck that! Last year she left my oldest son (3 at the time), in the deep end of the pool holding onto the wall because she turned her back when her “other” grandchild entered the pool. HELLOOOO? He can’t swim!

It honestly helps to hear from people who’ve been through it before. I’m counting the days before he leaves me  . We’re at 23  .
I’m sure he’s going to have a good time. I think he’s most excited about getting to use a glue stick and safety scissors. I don’t keep them in the house because he does like to torment his little brother and has stuck stickers and peanut butter in his hair  . And of course dumped slimy mud on him yesterday  .
My big concern is a somebody being mean to him. I admit, my son is sheltered. He’s a good boy with a lot of compassion and just the thought of some little brat picking on him breaks my heart. The thought of that first day make me want to vomit. :-… . I do like the idea of getting him a book about starting school – Thanks Rainy! Pat – Your stories were cracking me up  Thanks again for everyone’s responses. Do they have support groups for this sort of thing?? :roll:29 July, 2008 at 2:27 pm #139782Bryan Adams – When You Love Someone
When you love someone – you’ll do anything
you’ll do all the crazy things that you can’t explain
you’ll shoot the moon – put out the sun
when you love someoneyou’ll deny the truth – believe a lie
there’ll be times that you’ll believe you can really fly
but your lonely nights – have just begun
when you love someonewhen you love someone – you’ll feel it deep inside
and nothin else can ever change your mind
when you want someone – when you need someone
when you need someone…when you love someone – you’ll sacrifice
you’d give it everything you got and you won’t think twice
you’d risk it all – no matter what may come
when you love someone
you’ll shoot the moon – put out the sun
