15 September, 2014 at 2:23 pm #523754Rogue I’ll admit it out loud
Of my poetry I’m not so proud
My syntax is naff
I get in a faff
But I do know for sure
I could do a whole lot more
But I’d hate to be a bore
Cos that’s surely against the law
Then I’d go to jail
Which would mean that I fail
Oh and I like Whale(s)
Other swimmy things too – dolphins are great, and otters…I love otters.
But mostly I like cats and foxes….and bats.I’m not sure where I’m going wrong..
12 September, 2014 at 3:46 pm #523716If you install a choccy button dispenser I’d consider letting you invite me. (proper chocolate mind…none of this fancy pants moggy stuff that looks like something another cat’s yackked up)
6 September, 2014 at 8:22 am #523695Dear Mr Arbi-dodah…
Thank you for providing the boards with a “dispute resolution” thread. May I congratulate you on astute realisation that this facility was lacking.
If I may, I feel you may have missed a few categories. I’ve taken the liberty to outline these below.
Men who think they’re women but are in fact 12 and not really men at all – V – Women who think they’re women but are in fact a little bit skanky and really shouldn’t be allowed to breed. (this is a popular category from what I’ve seen)
Men who are a bit verbose and pretentious – V – Women with a decent lexicography
Lovely people (i.e. me..natch) – V – other lovely people (there must be some – somewhere)
Obviously, as senior Arbi-dodah, your decision on how to resolve these disputes will be just and fair and I look forward to reading your report on how these will be integrated into daily use.
With kindest regards
Amelia

17 August, 2010 at 6:13 pm #444929Rose – in your reply to Bat you state that “convenience food should be a once a week treat” I think this is where half the problem lies. When I was growing up it was all home grown, home cooked and you didn’t dare leave it and a treat to us was having a morning at the park or a trip to a different beach…..food wasn’t used as a treat.
It’s far to easy for people now to say “oh be good and I’ll take you do McDonalds for a treat” and before you know it, it’s what the kids expect and it’s “easier” on the adults to give in than deal with the fall out of a screaming child.
It’s how society sees “treats” that has lead to the diet becoming so bad. If you constantly praise a child by giving it “crap” then when you don’t give it the “crap” the child is getting the signal that it isn’t being good and plays up.
Most people wouldn’t treat their animals they way they treat their kids but they just can’t see that feeding them badly is wrong because somewhere along the line the whole idea of food being there as fuel has gone out the window.
