Warmest 15th of december recorded 16.3c Prestatyn 1962

Even the birds are grounded.”we’ll never get off today” glen miller reputedly says, peering out of the car window in to low cloud. The big band leader is driving to RAF Twinwood farm in Bedfordshire, to fly to recently liberated Paris where he’s organised the allied troops christmas party.”the fog and rain could be cut with a knife” says his manager, Don Haynes. Most airports across Britain are closed today, nevertheless the single engined noorduyn norseman aircraft takes off, disappearing quickly in to low cloud.

Also today in 1981 as the country is being flooded by a sharp thaw, mini icebergs are floating in the Wash at Kings Lynn in norfolk-its the last incident of sea ice on the east coast of England.

Oh its easy mrs teapot, why have cotton when you can have silk.

Ive cut right down with my presents this year. Every morning i find myself sitting by the postbox awaiting a brown envelope from the inland revenue with a tax rebate in it.I dont want the money for christmas but to go and visit someone, so i will hope.

The christmas shopping trip didnt turn out as i would of hoped, i spent a lot of the day sheltering in cafes from the chill wind that blew across the county.I think i needed a woman there to dominate me and force me out in to the shops.

I cant believe the parking charges there either, would of been cheaper to hire a helicopter and land on the roof of debenhams.20p to have a wee too, i shouldnt of drank so much coffee as i spent 60p on wees. They could of met me halfway and had some large trees planted around the car park.

Im going to have a bath now and write out some christmas cards.

I think its quiet because its probably the hardest room for new people to be accepted in.when your new and enter a room it can be daunting to see that everyone seems to know each other and are reluctant to accept anyone else in to their gang. :D

I hope the weather improves for tomorrow as its blowing a gale outside at the moment. Ive had a nightmare day and only got home at 7 o clock.Maybe i will have a soak in the bath and play with my duck.

Im looking forward to tomorrow though, as i like to stroll around the quirky shops looking for presents.Ive never been one for buying the obvious, chocolates, underpants etc.

I dont think ive got the will to even bother with forum 3 boards anymore so will make this my home. Its nice and quiet here, i like that.

Anyone want to come christmas shopping with me on tuesday to salisbury? the one condition is you have to carry my bags and help me find decent square presents as they are easy to wrap. Will meet in the coffee house by the cathedral at 10 am sharp.

nooooooooo we just had something to say to eachother :D

Fate made me bring back this thread, as i was just finishing ironing my smalls and the word regret came in to my mind. At the same time at 4.47pm, subconsciously you could sense the thread reappearing and you put down your pledge and duster and was drawn to the pc.

we all have to stand by the decisions we make tinks, thats what makes life so interesting. If we all made the right choices all the time life would be too easy.

Ive been thinking about fate and is it wrong to believe in something simply because you must.

I dont know about fate anymore.
