I actually laughed out loud at ” the cornfoot ginger kid” haha.

You ask some interesting questions that i honestly dont know the answers too tbh.

I never knew mrs blowit well enough to know about her hobbies outside of cooking or what her private passions were….i guess it was a sense of duty that kept her by the kitchen sink.

I know my dad was the dominant one and my mum just seemed to spend her life cooking and cleaning etc. when he died about 15 years ago she seemed to change and in some ways rebel against everything my dad stood for. It was like she was saying to him now your gone i will do all the things i really wanted to do in llife and you cant stop me.

I know for sure if she could turn the clocks back she would of lived life differently..which is a shame. I hope not too differently as i wouldnt of been here lol.

I have to make the effort to go to work i feel now.

Ps…the shufflebottoms have a visitor but im not sure who.

Mrs blowit and that garden shed…

The blowits were a very friendly couple who had lived in the street for many years…mr blowit was a railwayman through and through, what he didnt know about class 45 couplings wasnt worth knowing.
Mr blowit was a shortish man and quite slim but he was as strong as an ox and had hands like shovels.sunday mornings he was always outside doing some d.i.y be it on the roof or fixing guttering…but his main love was the garden shed he built at the bottom of the garden.

I had visited the shed a couple of times over the years as most in the street had…inside was the most amazing collection of model trains all meticulously lined up in order of age. Also there was a small bar and sofa and in the corner a jukebox which was usually full of rock n roll records. After an hour in the shed you came out an expert in eddie cochrane and deltic main line runnings on the east coast.

About ten years back mr blowit was diagnosed with cancer and although he fought the disease bravely he finally succumbed to the illness just after christmas.

Mrs blowit was always the quiet one of the two…usually seen in the kitchen cutting up vegetables and making giant pots of stew or soups.the man dominated the house and where they went for holidays and how they spent their money. Mrs blowit was always in tow with the children smiling.

After the funeral which i did attend we never saw mrs blowit for a while…until one friday evening when i was at the local pub with a friend.half way through the evening i saw one of the blowits daughters with another older woman who was made up and dressed like a dogs dinner.

Totally shocked the older woman was mrs blowit…she had the lowest cut top you could ever imagine and hair by mad meg..anyway we said hello and it was one of the first times i had actually had a conversation with her.

As times past mrs blowit was seen about the town with an assortment of different men..mostly brazilians. She was completely transformed from the blowit of yesteryear and was starting to live up to her name so the rumours said.

We even heard stories about the goings on in the garden shed…the light would be on well in to the night and a head seen moving up and down lol

I never saw her again for a couple of years but when i did she was a frail old lady looking hunchbacked and drawn…her oldest son had moved back in with her and he told me she was very ill.she passed away this year after a three month stay in hospital.

I looked out sometimes at the old garden shed which was still there…mostly weeds and rust covered now and thought about the past and the blowits.

A new family moved in not so long ago and one of the first things they done was to knock the shed down. I remember seeing the panels being loaded on to a truck…i watched and smiled.

    Haha

Im not sure about their feet but the eldest son had bright ginger hair…seemed a bit odd as none of the others did.

Its a sad tale of the mothers death and the fathers inability to cope which ended up with the children losing both parents.

Maybe not something to read before bed so i will post it in our time tonight.

I could always leave that one and tell you about mrs blowit lol

    Miss funnyfanny’s dalliance…

The funnyfanny’s moved in a couple of years ago to a lot of twitching curtains and open mouths. Her husband was a slight man with glasses and a worried look on his face.we think he was stretched to the limit financially trying to satisfy miss funnfanny’s taste for the good life….clothes, expensive meals and holidays to the south pacific.

He worked in a engineering company in accounts so his pay could hardly supplement this lifestyle.this is where miss funnyfanny helped out…a succession of young well dressed men would arrive in the mornings after her husband had left for work, with wide grins on their faces. The curtains would be left drawn and a few hours later they would leave with red faces and limping some of them..

Then one day things came to a head..after shouting and screaming was heard and a few plates smashing he left never to be seen again.

Since that time miss funnyfanny has a routine you could set your clocks by..she catches the 11.06 every weekday for an appointment in the city with a merchant banker..mr stretch. Maybe to collect her pay..lol

Ive once or twice seen her just gazing out of the back window with a glass of the strong stuff in her hand and a tear running down her cheek.

She is a very beautiful lady..long flowing dark hair and wonderful blue eyes.maybe i will knock and ask if she needs her Windows cleaned lol

Well i cant do pictures but heres whats happened this morning…

The shufflebottoms at 22 have been very quiet…but mrs shufflebottom did make an appearance at 10.30 to hang out her smalls on the line.

Miss glasscock the spinster at number 24 was doing the crossword in the lounge..it looked like the daily mirror and she was using black ink…i told you these bins were good.

The spraggs at 26 are away for a few days so await updates..

Miss funnyfanny at 28 was ontime this morning with her routine..raspberry jam on two slices of toasted wholemeal then out the house to catch the 11.06 train.

More updates when i get them…

This blonde lady came and sat next to me tonight and started asking me all types of questions…id say mid 40s..very attractive face and a sweet voice through the stench of rum and black.

She even told me she loved me as she went down on one knee to try to keep her balance.

    Maybe this is love..
