    We were too poor for toys. . . I remember my best friend getting a yoyo . . I couldn’t even afford a yo . . . .

    I used to love playing with my whipping top….and what was that thing called…it was shaped like a caterpult….with plastic straighty bits and you clacked the ball under and over? A Clapper or Clacker?…anyway suffered many a bruising on my hands with that.

    Hmmm my fav “toys” as a child were at my grans house. She had 2 old biscuit tins, 1 full of boot laces & old buttons & I sat for hours making necklaces. :lol:

    The other contained a couple of electric plugs some wire & a screwdriver. Great fun & learnt how to do something useful too. I could wire a plug properly by the time I was 10. Girl power!! :lol:

    As for comercial toys well, I spent many an hour on my trusty …………

    But, i had one of these, and there’s a photo, where I’m beating my elder sister up, because she took mine off me!

    Its never fun when your poor but.. :( ..i had a sock with buttons stuck on…i loved my sock i did…. :D

    I had a major problem, I’d take my toys apart, and then would always have trouble in putting them back together!
    I remember once being told by my sister that if I broke the windows on my Spider Man car, he’d appear.. 1. I was very disappointed, and 2. I had a useless car! :lol:

    I won’t give too much info, but with one of my favourite playthings’, I went into the bedroom at 13, and fekking hell, i didn’t come back out until I was 16.. :lol:
