As such Pikey, God has always hated us then because society has changed little when it comes to rum, sodomy and the lash. But you surmise that the only relevant points in the God Book are those which contradict the way we as humans have lived our lives- but from the point Adam said to Eve “stand back, I don’t know how big this thing gets”, mankind has been at one with sin.
However, the path to redemption is to renounce sin- hence as an individual, we may sit at a table with the devil, yet remain at one with God, sif we choose to do so.
The real quandary is how each religion reconcile’s an ideology which is a thousand years old with a world which is ageless. It is more for the religion to demonstrate its relevance in a modern world than for the modern world to seek to “best fit” religion around their life.

I think our saving grace is that most of her church is made up off her family and hopefully they won’t find anything to reproduce with.

Well…… I don’t know. You’ve all made me think a bit (dangerous I know) and suddenly I’m not so sure.
I mean if you put her apparent mental instability to one side I wonder if, behind the manic stare and fixed grin, she may be right after all. Could it be that God really does hate us and our thoroughly unpleasant lifestyles?
The TV journalists, flaunting their fake patriotism, have a whiff of the Devil about them – like a pack of Roman soldiers circling our Lord and gloating over his forthcoming death.
Could it be that she is the handmaiden of the Lord and unless we heed the dreadful warning she sends us – we are all doomed?????

I thought the point of God was that he doesn’t hate anyone. At least that is what I was taught. There is a lot of bigotry and hypocrisy. It boils down to what people feel uncomfortable with, and then they persecute those that make them uncomfortable for “justified” reasons (like the bible). Emotion is what drives them, certainly not logical thought.
I think this woman was probably taught it from early child hood, indoctrinated if you will. She isn’t insane as we can actually see rationalisation in her motives, as perverse as they are. We should pity her; she truly believes that Justice comes from Death!

He fully advocates hanging all those who transgress – and achieves Justice for the transgressed against. A hanged man can only swing.
