Her duet with Beyonce was absolutely stunning. the downloads of her Christmas single have just started and my prediction is that it will rocket to the Number 1 spot and stay there.
Excellent result and one that is absolutely justified. For once the public voters have got it spot on.
Mind you I still think that Ruth Lorenzo is one hell of a sexy woman with a fantastic singing voice – her rendition of Purple Rain will become an all time classic for sure.
A well deserved outcome. She is a lovely girl who has shown that you don’t have to have an edge or some sob story to win votes. She won because she was the best my a long shot, and her duet with Beyonce was 1st class. 8)

Wasn’t she the one that won Pop Idol many years ago?? As I recall she was slightly ”tubby” (i.e. she finished off all the canteen pies before each show) and couldn’t get into her costumes with ease.
She was a role model for deep fried Mars bar eaters.

Diva? Being terribly generous there old chap. Still, shes not sitting on her ample bottom now whining about how hard done by she was.
I do hope Ruth gets signed up, otherwise its a terrible waste of an amazing voice.
I’m so so glad that Alexandra won,,,,she sooooo deserved it :)
I don’t personally think she can be compared to Leona,,she’s so much stronger, she has a passion iv’e not seen in Leona. Her duet last nite with Beyonce reduced me to tears. She’s amazing, she has a wonderful career in front of her doing exactly what she loves best.
