A MUM who deliberately drugged her four-year old daughter so she could fiddle state benefits was jailed for life yesterday after being convicted of murdering her with an overdose. Carolyn Riley, 35 kept tragic Rebecca in a drugged-up state for more than a year to prevent her revealing that she was not realy mentally ill.
But she and bhubby Michchael, 37, over-medicated the youngester who collapsed and died on their bedroom floor.
Mum-of-four Riley showed no emotion as she was convicted of second degree murder after a 13-day trial in Brockton, Massachusetts. Her husband will be tried for murder next month. What the fukc is wrong with people!!!
11 February, 2010 at 11:02 am #432055The BBC is reporting that Sgt. Joshua Tabor was charged with allegedly waterboarding his four-year-old daughter, police in Yelm, Washington said.
According to reports, Tabor dunked his daughter’s head into a sink full of water after she failed to recite the alphabet. He was arrested on January 31.
Police became aware of Tabor after fellow soldiers reported that Tabor was walking around the neighborhood with a Kevlar helmet and threatening to break windows, the police chief said.
When police arrived at Tabor’s home, his daughter was found hiding in a locked bathroom.
Tabor posted $10,000 bail and is currently confined to the barracks. Tabor is a helicopter repairer who served in Iraq from 2007-2008.
Waterboarding is a torture tactic meant to simulate drowning, and has been banned by the U.S
The world is going nuts
11 February, 2010 at 8:30 pm #432056I`m aware I may be jumping to conclusions here, but is it possible in the case of the soldier, if he served in Iraq that he`s suffering some form of post traumatic stress?
11 February, 2010 at 8:39 pm #432057When I read the report, that was my assumption Nem. Not many normal people walk around threatening to break windows
………….well, if you discount rowdy thugs on a Saturday night
11 February, 2010 at 8:54 pm #432058I think too, that not everyone can be a soldier, it takes a different kind of mindset, and perhaps it`s hard to not be a soldier if you know what I mean.

12 February, 2010 at 8:02 am #432060some people should not have kids !………as for the soilder he was a helicopter repairer !…..unless they are lying over his duties during service he would not have known nor ever used such methods as waterboarding !…..yes it could have been pts disorder however this does in no way excuse what he did do his own child.

I think you may be right Nemesis, it was a thought that occured to me when I read it.No, Peggy, of course it doesn’t make it right and I don’t think Nemesis was saying it as an excuse, there is no excuse, there is tho, perhaps a reason for his mindset.
