I would rather be happy… thing is though its easier said than done isn’t it? We all have egos and once we dig in our heels its hard to backtrack, also I tend to walk away from confrontation so I have lost friends because I never discussed their point of view. So the answer to your question is HAPPY…. but in reality it doesn’t always turn out that way.

I used to be stubborn when I was younger just to prove a point….but nowadays I really don’t give a shyte is someone thinks something that isn’t true. I think this place has made me such a way……at the end of the day does it really matter if someone believes somthing that isn’t true? Nope it doesn’t
Surely that depends on “Who” the someone is?
If its a partner/Husband/Wife/Sibling etc it would matter
to me,
I value my integrity amongst people I care about.
Or are we just speaking of people in Jc?In JC Goanup….this kind of situation has never arisen in real life
A lucky Lady lol, Glad we cleared that up :D :D

Dangerous strategy Kent…. its a small world and what is it they say… we are only five people away from someone who knows you or your family. I understand what you mean about people making incorrect assumptions here 2 and 2 make 5 and all that. Its annoying but its a tiny step from here to the real world… how terrible it would be for your sons if their friends thought what was said here was true… just a thought.
19 September, 2011 at 6:57 am #478299thankfully i have learnt to eat humble pie as i have got older……..clearing the air is good…….that makes me happy ……..for me personally it’s often better to walk away rather than have confrontation………..who needs the grief?

Don’t quite get the angel on your post Mrs T…dangerous stategy? It’s hardly a stategy as such and to bring my boys into it? Very strange…I don’t have to hide anything..I have met a few people off here I am what I am but many and not just me are gossiped about and I don’t actually care anymore as you cannot explain to eveyrone and there will always be someone who believes what they read in the room or here…you sound like you believe what you read…thank god we don’t all take that approach else my brain would explode…your not exempt either
19 September, 2011 at 10:30 am #478301Strategy …as in the way you look at the original question
Your boys as a simple innocent example
2 and 2 make 5 as in the way things are misconstrued here…..
Anyway if you feel upset by anything I said… I apologise and it was not said with malice or intended to cause offence…. as far as your remark about me is concerned… as I said 2 and 2 often make 5 here but thank you for your interest.

19 September, 2011 at 11:54 am #478303Im not sure if this is quite on track for this thread but i tend to think that its not fair to clear your own conscience at the expense of someone elses peace of mind.
THIS IS NOT MEANT FOR OR AT ANYONE IN HERE!!
This is something that came up in my own life a few years ago and it is something that has sat with me since. If someone feels guilty about something that they have done, then let their punishment, if they feel they need it, be their guilt. They do not have the right to make clear their conscience and make themselves feel better by destroying another persons peace of mind.
