Hi, I am looking for someone who has recently moved to the US after living in another country for several years to interview. It is for a class grade, and I will email you questions to answer, if you wouldn’t mind. The questions are very general and relate to culture and geography. Thanks! Please contact me at [email protected] no later than Sunday around noon. Thank you so much to anyone who replies!!

    The Questions:
How long did you live in the first country?
How long have you lived in the US?

    How is education different here?

How are women and minorities treated in your country?

What strikes you as strange about the US?

Do children mature faster, slower, or at the same pace as American children?

Why did you move to the US?

    Are you glad you did?

What ceremonies/rituals are different? How is religion viewed in your country?

How are gov’t structures different? Is there universal health care? Does the gov’t provide assistance to the elderly?

What physical features of the land are different?

What are some typical beliefs held by your culture about children, women, men, work, sex, age, etc?

anything else you would like to add (I will need your first name at least, which you can email to me at [email protected]) Please help, this won’t take you too long to fill out. Thanks!

Which first country? If you mean the United Kingdom then please say so.

How long have you lived in the US?
I have never lived there – nothing would persuade me to live there. I dislike McDonalds on every street corner and Ketchup with everything.

    How is education different here?
    There isn’t any.

How are women and minorities treated in your country?
We beat the women frequently, and in return they do the cleaning, cooking, washing and ironing and provide sexual services when we require them.
Since the minorities are minorities – who cares how they are treated.

What strikes you as strange about the US?
The grossly obese women, and the men with white socks and check trousers.
The fact that everything from the lavatory bowls to the women is ‘sanitised’.

Do children mature faster, slower, or at the same pace as American children?
It entirely depends on the temperature at which you marinade them.

Why did you move to the US?
    I didn’t (see above)

    Are you glad you did?
Again see above – look you Yankee bastard, can’t you read???

What ceremonies/rituals are different? How is religion viewed in your country?
Presidential assasination is not considered a legitimate part of the political process here.
Our clergymen pray on their knees, – your clergymen prey on their congregations.
We own firearms to shoot game for sport, you own firearms to shoot each other for sport.

How are gov’t structures different? Is there universal health care? Does the gov’t provide assistance to the elderly?
Her Majesty The Queen is generally revered, your President is generally reviled.
We elect our Prime Minister – you buy your President.
Our doctors make money from practicing medecine – your lawyers make money from suing doctors practicing medecine.
Both of our Governments are the same – they only provide assistance for themselves.

What physical features of the land are different?
Our land is green and pleasant (as in Jerusalem) – your land is an arid dustbowl.
We build houses on our land – you park trailers on your land.

What are some typical beliefs held by your culture about children, women, men, work, sex, age, etc?
We like sex with women, you like sex with anything that stays still long enough.
We work to drink – you drink to work.
Our children are a part of our families – your children are a part of your workforce.
We grow old gracefully – you just grow old, then visit us as tourists.
We live in towns with nice names – you live in Bumfuck, Idaho.

anything else you would like to add
Both countries are United, but we are a Kingdom – you are merely States

(I will need your first name at least, which you can email to me at [email protected]) Please help, this won’t take you too long to fill out. Thanks.

    The pleasure was entirely mine.
