Is a load of rubbish. They’re all one sided with very little excitment. There is no comparision to Men’s Tennis in terms of passion and intensity.

They should also shut up about all this equal pay stuff, and thank God that they play one of the few Sports where the sexes play at the same venue. If Women’s Tennis was played at a seperate venue from Men’s Tennis then they’d be lucky to be making 100k a year from the Sponsorship, Tv Money and interest they’d get.

How about putting the men and women players together?

I remember the good old days of the gorgeous Sabatini – who cared how good she was? :P
Yoiu have to remember women do have their purposes when it comes to tennis even if they are shit.

Look at other Women’s Sports that are played seperately from men. Women’s Golf, Women’s Football etc. How much interest is generated in those? Can you imagine a Women from the Ar.senal ladies team or a Women Golfer having the cheek to ask for the same cash as Fabregas or Tiger Woods?
Most of the Women in those aforementioned Sports would have to have a real job to supplement their income.
As i said these Women should thank God for what they get, and that they dont have to go it alone like in other Sports. Women’s Tennis played seperately would attract meagre interest.

That’s not even taking into account the fact that they’re only on Court for 50 mins or something, and then can go Shopping for the rest of the day.

I wouldn’t swear on it but i think you might find that in the US the womens tennis gets larger viewing on TV than the mens game, and afterall it is TV that pays the lions share of the prize money.

    Remember ….. i don’t foookin care

    Mixed doubles is ok.

And at a youth level seeing the girls join in with boys in all different sports with none of our grown up perceptions and notions is brilliant.

How you doing anyway Victor?

    Dont swear on it.

Over the past five years Men’s Single’s Final’s have averaged more than 20 percent more viewers than Women’s. This means that Men are generating 20 percent more income, playing for far longer, yet Women are wanting an equal share of the Pie.
