After working in the pub game for over 10 yrs on and off is it just Bridgwater Witherspoons that have crap bar staff who have not got a clue who’s next? They stand there with tunnel vision only seeing who’s in front of them let alone who’s next !! My point ? If you can’t do the job fook off and find something you can do.
Wetherspoons are renouned for crap staff …. both bar & waiting staff. The pub game is so different to how it was 15 years ago.
The art of a good barperson is to clock the order of who came to the bar in what order generally. The regulars drinks just used to appear no messing.
In the days of the local running a bar/pub was an art. Landlords/ladies were respected people in the community with years of experience.
Seriously though I think its because they staff are soooo young you rarely get an older person behind a Spoons bar & no offence they dont have the experience that us oldies might of been used to.
but ……The trouble is Spoons bars are huge & they rarely have enough bar staff on at busy times & the ones that are there have got a brain cell between em
Cheap pints, what do you expect? Try holding a £20 in the air next time, you might get served a bit quicker (especially if you let them keep your change).
For some reason Babs seems to have no problem getting served

Hoist if I had been working the bar where you waved a £20 note you would have taken longer to get served as that’s bloody rude. Bot Arc you walk into a diff pub (not a spoons) and the staff are great. And not got a spoons manager badge on after working there for a week !!!

Wouldn’t imagine you’d get change from £20 these day standing your round …. Wetherspoons or not.
