Ive all the symptoms of embedded wisdom teeth, but cant afford the dentist till payday as all our spare money went on the car.

any advice for relieving the symptoms?

Ive stocked up on alcohol, so I will be sorted tonight, but what about the next three weeks?

Its getting worse every day, all my teeth feel like they are being pushed to the front of my mouth, my gums and jaw are aching, my breath stinks and Ive the most awful taste in my mouth, and cant bite down properly cos it hurts too much.

yes….. I am feeling sorry for myself!

some words of “wisdom” wouldnt go amiss?

Anybody had them, or had them removed wanna share their tales with me?

I had all four out in one go. I was lucky i didn’t have to have em out in hospital. He said ill give the first one a go and if that comes out easy i’ll do the next one and before i knew it they were all out. Mind you they bleed like a bugger for about an hour so hae to fill my gob with cotten wool.
Mine never gave me any probs and i didn’t even know they were there until i went for a check up.
Oh and its a lie they do grow back cus my bottom ones have come through again but still no problem.
try sensodine tooth paste just smother it on the teeth and leave it. Is really good stuff.
Failing that the old string and door slam might do it

Are you sure you haven’t got an abscess?

Bad taste in the mouth usually means you have got an infection somewhere. Are the wisdom teeth poking through the skin at the back, or are they badly impacted? If they are impacted they will have shown up on x-rays so I assume your dentist warned you they might cause trouble.

Antibiotics might help. At the very least you should be using a mouthwash.. you can make your own with garlic and gloves… you won’t be kissable but it might help relieve some of the symptoms. Soak one clove of each in boiling water, wait till its cooled a bit and then use as mouthwash.

See if the dentist will see you and defer payment. Failing that go to the doctor and get antibiotics. I doubt the dentist would do anything if you have an infection anyhow.

    Thankyou.

They are very impacted under the skin. The pain and bad taste only came on last sunday, and according to a couple of friends at work who have had it they said they also had the bad breath and bad taste especially when they bite down, and that is what Ive got.

Minim the last xrays I had were about 3 years ago, and they never said anything about them, maybe its come on since then. I can cope with the discomfort but not the taste and the feeling that all my gums are under pressure, I cant stop tonguing myself everywhere (does that make sense?).

I have some money, but it will just leave us short. I just wanted to gather opinion really on how urgent I need to seek assistance. I did read on the net earlier that if they are left it can lead to infections, cysts etc, so I know its pretty urgent, but wondered if my symptoms are just early ones.

I had to go to the shops at lunch time and spoke very quietly at a distance as I was so aware of the smell of my own breath, it was minging!

Oh and the overall gum pain is the main factor, the area around the actual teeth only hurts when I eat, and only then for a short while until I stop.

sharon if it’s painful go and get it sorted.
    That’s my advice.
Get the dentist to defer payment if you can’t afford it.
Her indoors had hers done last week and it cost £45.
