Amy Winehouse’s second album, Back to Black, is set to be the biggest-selling album of the year. Apparantly it has sold 1.5million copies.
I wasnt a fan of hers until a few months ago, but shes really grown on me now, I love this album.
21 December, 2007 at 10:24 pm #296243Me too. My favorite is Love is a Losing Game. Straight from the heart, throaty voice, great acoustics, lovely lyrics. What a star she could be if she left the sherbert alone.
21 December, 2007 at 10:25 pm #296244I’m sure her drug dealer pals have plenty of money to spend on CDs so I’m not surprised
21 December, 2007 at 10:29 pm #296245I first saw her on Jules Holland must have been at least 3 maybe even 4 years ago and have followed her career ever since, she was chunky, innocent, but still had a belter of a voice and a mysticism about her.
21 December, 2007 at 10:31 pm #296246a few mates of mine saw her at the birmingham concert, they said it was heartbreaking to see her in the state she was in. She was high as a kite, pi.ssed and cryed through all the songs.
The press said a lot of people have asked for their money back but my friends said they havent got the heart to do it, bless. True fans.
21 December, 2007 at 10:33 pm #296247She is only human, and pretty much has herself to blame, but you would think by now her promoters would be doing more to help her family to help her instead of rubbing their hands together at what the publicity will generate for them?

Nope. Anyway, if she doesn’t want to help herself what can her family or anyone else do?

Yes you are right. An addict has to want to stop. Its not just the drugs in Amy’s case though and there are plenty of options open to her employers. Sitting back and watching the money roll in is not one of them.
I know what my family would do, the same as what plenty of addicts families have done and they must feel so much hatred to her promoters for their lack of help.
21 December, 2007 at 11:10 pm #296250There’s not a lot, realistically, that the promoters can do. When all is said and done, business is business and any publicity is good publicity to them.
21 December, 2007 at 11:56 pm #296251Realisticly as you say there is a lot they can do. They are in control of pretty much 80% of her life.
