its meant to be the future look of the windows operating system
12 March, 2006 at 4:04 pm #203588ok, i done it all.. apart from to find window media player 11, so if anyone knows where i can get it
13 March, 2006 at 12:02 am #203589One for PB.
13 March, 2006 at 12:05 am #203590i looked through various sites, a lot of people have the beta version, which seems to be built for the new windows operating system (vista)
appently this operating will take a staggering 700mb or ram resources
i have a preview of vista, through a transformation skin, to get the feel and the look of it
my information may be wrong, reading through lots of microsoft sites and forums, was enough to confuse anyone
16 March, 2006 at 10:34 pm #203591i see, well it looks like i need a new pc to run vista anyway, i like the look and feel of it myself, a lot of people tend to say anything microsoft does is rubbish though, without ever trying it, for it just being microsoft, its like the man united of the computer world, great team, but no one will admit to it if you don’t support them
media player still remains the best program to use as a jukebox for my music files, the only option i wanted to add to it, was the abilty for better interaction between my mp3 player and media player itself, ie, for it to work the same way as it does on my pc.. create play lists and such, another feature i would like to see, is the abilty to burn cds with a fade in and out.
i’m due for a new pc maybe this xmas, maybe when i get it, vista will be loaded onto it already, and i’ll have enough ram to not notice the slow down
16 March, 2006 at 11:23 pm #203592yeah, gotta give it a go though, yeah windows 95 was a bit of a rush job.. a lot of people still use 98, we still got it at work, though our computer geek wants to upgrade us all onto xp now.. not sure if there is much point for what we use the computers for
everyone will get vista, because its new… all new pcs will be shipped with it, so best thing to to, is read the reviews, and follow them on, if its shyte, i can always put xp back on my new pc.. and have it running faster
16 March, 2006 at 11:38 pm #203593i thought standard now was 1 gig of ram, my pc is now over 12 months old, when i bought it, it came with 500 ram
i can’t imagine new pcs coming out with an old operating system on to be honest, but who knows, will see what happens, maybe vista might be made more resource freindly, i remember the same thing was being said about xp before that release
17 March, 2006 at 12:14 am #203594i don’t tend to use my pc for games though, i don’t really need the extra ram in that case, my pc is mostly used for music and pictures and making picture films and slideshows
sometimes i wonder if i need to upgrade, but in the same sense as buying a car, or even a new album by a band, you don’t always buy it because you want it, you buy it because you eiather want to have somthing new, or because everyone else has it
17 March, 2006 at 1:08 am #203595no shopping is good for you, i just wish i had more money to buy things with, well take a look at my music collection, i very much doubt anyone on jc has one even close to it :)
you may as well pre order vista now, give it a good seeing too :)
