erm, what is (gets ready to do a Soledad Brother)?!! :?

Anyway, making sure that Mrs T’s tennis bat is no longer in sight –

I think Friday’s match could be a seat-gripper – if Tsongas doesn’t wipe the floor with Murray (and I hope he doesn’t, think he wont (trying to stall Mrs T’s raised tennis bat)

Tsongas struck my amateur eye as a very good, very efficient player..very good indeed. And he seems a genuinely likeable man, like Eric Sykes (er, all right, in a different way from Eric Sykes).

But I think what may make it a cliff hanger is that Murray seems to be playing a strange game. He’s been fluffing a lot of scores, can’t seem to get on top of the other player quickly so that the games last a long time. He’s not efficient like Tsongas.

Yet once he plays he comes up with some great tennis. After fluffing his points, he comes up from behind (is that the right phrase??) to take the game, and the result is to get the adrenaline going. Perhaps that’s what he needs to win(?)

I’m hoping for some great tennis on Friday. I appreciate teh game, enjoy it, no matter who wins.

I seem to remember that’s what being British was about – like support for the underdog, dislike of mobbing, applause for the other side etc?
