Good post, momentary.
A post that Gordon Brown would’ve been proud of.
I think there may be something less than flattering in what you have just said.
I’m off to cry.

No offence intended.
Having said that, I do feel that yourself, panda and sceptical guy fall into the category of the blind leading the blind.

Goes over my head – just like your husband’s baked potato!
My potato was cold by the time I sorted out my training resources with a famous international delivery company. They have my address and mobile number and they need more details. Really?
:?

6 July, 2012 at 6:46 am #501411Im still not sure what it is we want from Europe except to trade freely with them the original referendum was sold on what was then called the common market… thats what was voted on.. free trade.
We can have a trade agreement with them which would cost us nothing just like Norway and Switzerland…… what is it we get from Europe to justify 17.5 billion each year? More to the point do we need whatever it is?

That is why, if there is a referendum, it is imperative that all the facts are presented in an easy to understand, transparent manner. No scare mongering propaganda, xenophobia or political posturing just the plain and simple facts as to what the pros and cons are to the man in street. Only then can ppl decide what they want.
A trade only agreement sounds good Teapot but this country has a long established history of being a major player in European political affairs. I can’t see the powers that be stepping aside from hundreds of years of “tradition” and entering a period of “splendid (political) isolation.”
Seems some ppl still think we are the biggest fish in the pond but we’re not by a long shot. We are disliked in Europe. If we left and had no political say, we would be powerless and at the mercy of the rest of Europe. What would there be to stop them revoking any trade agreement with us on a whim?
