BTW Lucky, something I just noticed. If this site is so awful and it “sucks” how come it,s taken you WELL over 6000 posts to come to that conclusion? If it was so bloody awful, surely you would have left ages ago having decided that it “sucks”. and if JC really is “dead”..yet again, then all those chatters I saw in forum one two and three last night must have been ghosts.
This must be PICK ON LUCKY DAY, so am i allowed to have a go too? :lol:

All wer,e trying to do woohoo is make the point that if JC is “dead” and it “sucks” as regularly seems to be the case, then why bother staying and whinging about it? why not just leave? And why does it take someone over 6000 posts to decide that? Thats what we cant work out. But hey, we love it, it,s not dead, honest it,s not. I really did see all those chatters in the forums last night, so for a site that “sucks” we must be doing something right eh?

Happens all the time Bat, people will critiscise but will still use the site. Some will critiscise others for saying/doing something that they don’t agree with on this site, when they do the exact same things themselves.. :wink:

Lucky because i agree the BOARDS are sh ite laterly
Bat its not the chat fourms thats the problem will all no there as popular as ever
But i carnt speak for any 1 eles but the boards have gone down
Most of the post counts the old regs have is from the begining when the boards was first up and running
most have gone but if lucky is like me we stay because there are still a few people on here we get on with
Its had its ups and downs now oevr the years but at the moment its just dead
And i still think its because most of the good posters have gone
because you carnt say f00k all with out it being deletd banned or moaned about

Hey hey steady on Sunny, nobody has been deleted or banned in recent months – unless it is at their specific request. Posts / threads are NOT deleted unless they are really over the top and are so offensive that they cannot be allowed to stay.
That said, I do regularly delete porn links to sites that download viruses / Trojans when you click onto them – but I don’t count this.
Similarly users are not deleted or banned just because they post stuff that others don’t like. In fact we really hate deleting a user even when they ask to be deleted because this removes the ”history” and often they simply return with a new name to carry on as before.
IF, as you say, the site has ”gone down” then it is because the users themselves choose it that way.
I keep on saying this, but ALL it is is some software (made and licensed by phpBB) that sits on a server. ALL the content is entirely that of the users. THEY alone are responsible for the posts on here.
So if you or others don’t like or approve of the content, then you need to do something yourselves to alter this by posting stuff that the users in general WILL appreciate.

As iv said its been like this ups and down for years there is always a quiet time boring dead sh ite what ever people wanna call it

when i say people been deletd i should of said the posts i no you never get rid unless they ask to be removed
But iv seen you leave some real bad ones in the past
But laterly they seem to go and the STD aint doing nowt because people no what its for so wont bother

Yes Sunny, now that I have uninstalled Rant.exe I agree with you – to a point.
We used to get so many complaints – on and on and on they went – about certain users (several of them BTW) who it was felt spoilt it for the majority by their constant and somewhat obsessive squabbling. So we created the STD Forum and let them get on with it in there (if they wanted to).
Apparently they suddenly lost interest in fighting amongst each other and surprise surprise had nothing of any particular interest to say.
I also agree that it would be really nice if users posted some thought provoking stuff, or even controversial stuff, whatever.
But the plain fact is that it is entirely up to the 1300 or so site users to post stuff – neither I or Martin can do it for them. Yes I try to keep the pot boiling as it were but there are limits to even my God like intellect.
However, all is not lost. In my many years of prancing around the site I have noticed that it is cyclical. We go through phases of frantic activity with loads of visitors and posters, then it goes quiet for a little while. Then the cycle repeats itself all over again.
So fear not, in spite of the whingers and moaners, the cycle will repeat itself as it always has done.
Will Justchat be open over the Christmas Period? And if so, will you PB be getting double pay? :)
