I have just notticed this ask , I have notticed recently that my eight year old grandson use’s the word ACTUALY quite a lot and in the right context.
Just thought I would put that in , I find the word more matter of fact myself -William :D :D1 March, 2006 at 9:37 am #2001234 March, 2006 at 10:56 pm #200124@james Belfast wrote:

Gold star to someone who can provide a sentence that needs the word “actually”.
I saw that Hugh Grant starring in the film “Love Actually”: he was shyte btw.
Post me Gold Star to the usual addy ty.
OOh this is a tuffy. On the one hand, you provide the title of a film, and thats that, but one has to ask why they used the word, “love actually”, why “acutually”? Whats the word actually got to do with finishing a phrase? Its not needed, surely? There being you wouldnt have a shout…
BUT, thats not your fault, so Gold star to you, and some slippery banana skins for the film makers.
Catz, were the drunk people women, girly girls say actually so many times, particuly when 2 large galrses of wine have entered their system.

Do we really need to?
Que someone responding with, yes emma, “actually” we do
because profertainabiltism doesn’t sound quite right, infact it’s a bit of a mouthful
5 March, 2006 at 5:05 pm #200127Obviously we do need the word ‘actually’, just as we need the word ‘obviously’. Otherwise we wouldn’t be able to tell someone how obvious something was, even though by being obvious they would know what was obvious already.
