We’re all still waiting for the evidence of a single sport where women can beat men that involves no machine or animal but as usual you revert back to childish smiley faces and nonsense having lost yet another debate…I’d call that game set and match.

Biologically men are physically stronger, faster reactions and so on. They need them, they were the hunters, fighters. I don’t think it’s sexist to say that most men are stronger and faster.
There will always be exceptions though.

Seriously though, I agree that (generally) women are physically weaker, our brains are wired differently.
Should female tennis players ger paid less? No. If you accept the argument women are weaker then they are playing to their limit, are they not? Pay them less and you penalise them for their gender.
My thoughts on sport in general, and this is just my opinion, is that men excel in physical sports that require strength and endurance, women in ones that require tactics and empathy.

I think the pay issue I have is the three set rule rather than them being physically weaker.. if they both played the same number of sets I wouldn’t disagree they deserve equal pay.
What I would like to see are calls for ” equality” to stop, as true equality would have men playing women. The two genders are not equal on sporting terms and never will be.
You mention women excel in sports which require empathy which means sharing the feelings of others..I;d love to know what sports involve feeling sorry for/with an opponent – can you give an eg of a sport where empathy is required?
I have just read the thread and can say anyone who says women arent as good as men are SEXIST AND RACIST AND IT WONT BE TOLERATED ! WOMEN ARE AS GOOD AS MEN IN ALL SPORTS SO STOP BEING SEXIST MYSOGYNIST AND RACIST !!!!!

Women are capable of playing 5 sets as they can run marathons/ other endurance events so can’t see an issue with it at all , although like I said I think all matches should be over 3 sets…the 5 set matches go on forever. The best argument for equal pay is the training argument which is hard to disagree with but still think both genders should play similar length matches whether that is 3 or 5 sets. I’m referring more to championship rewards for the winner in terms of pay like wimbledon rather than general pay for tournaments where they play the same number of sets . In Wimbledon the prize money for men should be higher as the men are working harder for it- simple as that.
