women cost more in real life.
8 July, 2017 at 8:08 am #1059351Not sure whether you meant that women are more high maintenance in real life or more valuable as people ruthless…lol. Thing is with sport…every thing is judged on ratings and money. In real life, women and men are just as valuable as each other, in different ways perhaps but never inferior or superior to each other.
Sport is a business…….it provides a service and the viewer pays to watch or buy the goods of one’s favorite “stars.” The stars are paid very well indeed as the business is very lucrative. Many treat these stars as role models as they are a great example of dedication, taking many years to get to the level they are. Sport is a test of physical strength. In most cases, the strongest physically will win the event. In stamina events, more than physical ability is required….one needs much more mental focus because your pushing your body further than you think it will go.
As to Tennis…………the “stars” do their thing, the organizers do their thing and the most reassuring thing of all about tennis is that the woman who originated tennis always stands in the center of the court..although she does get in the way a lot….her name is Annette. LOL! A net

Olympic events for gymnastics are different for each gender, so it’s hard to make a comparison that way. But I don’t think there are many women who can do this:
I would also argue female tennis players reaction times are just as fast as their male counterparts.
This is a biological impossibility, the areas of the brain that limit reaction time to can have are larger and more developed in men.
In the context of the brain processing. It would be interesting though if it has ever been measured.
There are a lot of studies on reaction times.
I would also argue “reflective instinct” is learned by repetition, learned behaviour and not based on gender at all.
I was talking more about unlearned reflexes, which are faster in men, and men also have a larger amygdala, which is responsible for passively assessing potential threats, which can then be responded to without concious thought in many cases.

Snooker, pool, and darts are sports that I would expect women would be able to play equally as well as men, but they are things that women don’t seem to have much interest in playing so it would be hard to find numbers for this.

Unless you post any reliable evidence Drac, from a reliable source, then I am afraid I will just take it with a pinch of salt. Personally I just don’t believe you but like I said I am open to you proving otherwise.

Norfolk stated men are superior than women in ALL sports. Then moved the goal posts as to what that sport actually entailed. Gymnastics, shooting, equestrian, ice skating no doubt more and all Olympic sports where men are NOT superior at all.

When it suits you, you ask people for reliable evidence, where is your reliable evidence on the sports you have mentioned?

When it suits you, you stick your oar in. Depending on what ship you happen to be traveling on that week. Which changes like the weather. Where is your evidence to back up your claims, you haven’t got any have you. Another one who makes vague claims based solely on gender and not on any verifiable evidence.

I sail on no ones boat, unlike you obviously crawling round the women with your views on this thread trying to gain favour – bit sickly to say the least.
So because I have had a disagreement with Norfolk in the past I should disagree with everything he says? That’s a bit pathetic to say the least.
Pick up on one point on this thread that I have made where you can prove me wrong.

Lol. So your logic is my views of female tennis and sport it general is because I am “crawling around women”. You just don’t get it do you, not all men share your prehistoric views. I don’t need to disprove anything. You have already openly stated that in mixed doubles women are the weakest link and alluded they are therefore carried by men. Quite frankly blatant sexism. You clearly do not understand the nuances of mixed doubles. You clearly view sport and judge it in exactly the same way as your sidekick. It really is as simple as that. In my opinion, which of course carries no more weight than yours or anyone elses.
