Why?

Hiya pol x in an ideal world we should all be able to breathe without lackeys. I see cosy has jumped ship to avoid the horrible chat hosts on here :) I was not keen on the entire thread,as i said. It brought out parts of generally nice people, that i did not wish to view,, as they are worth FAR more than that in their individual, own rights. But Que sera. Certain elements jumped on bandwagon, that was already gone..They saw the lights in the distance of something that was so easilly forgetabble. Like an old Romany caravan they clung on with the pots n pans..

hi rubes hun xx no such thing as an ideal world sadly just makes me so sad to see so many people having a go at each other for no real reason, the same people that condemn a man for abusing a child withh on their next post act like nothing more than an undignified nasty abusing bully to another human being, yes i know that is over emotionalising it but how can someone that has compassion for one thing turn and rant at someone that has done no real harm to them apart from post something they disagree with, compassion seems to be very “when it suits” at times, you can imagine the outrage if someone said to someone that posted a news report abt an abused child oh its only words on a screen but you get people who know too much abt anothers lives on here take that and abuse them with it, it could be that that person has been abused but thats ok all still words on a screen. i know thats the real bizarre end of the scales but you get my drift. Each and everyone of us on here have good and bad times good and bad history good and bad days and you know me ruby i aint afraid to fight my own corner and i can be as ruthless at the next person the difference is i hate to have to be that way some seem to love it. Give me a healthy if contentious debate and even a degree of slapping but the hate and need to get oneupmanship and vengeance that runs through these threads at times astounds me.

There is nothing wrong with a healthy debate. Sometimes however people use this media to get an ego boost to fill their own need by belittling someone else, for whatever reason.
No one should name call on the internet. It has been proven that internet bullying has lead to some tragic events. Look at the case of Tyler Clementi who jumped off the bridge over the Hudson River after being cyber bullied over his sexuality.
The reality is domains like this one harbour many people with insecurities, and something lacking in their lives, it is an outlet and quite often fills a void in someones life and it is nice that people can come together and reach out to people who they might not normally associate with, however we must all show RESPECT for one and other. Yes not everyone lives to the same conformation as you, yes some might have different standards, or earn less or not been priviledged with a high standard of education but at the end of the day the moment we all resort to name calling, sniping and lack of respect for each other then that is the moment you have lost your own self respect.
I was vunerable a while back after the death of my beloved Dad and Gran and the compassion showed by some of the forum 2 members helped me through that, however that was all undone by one nasty comment by another chatter in the forum and it was then I realised how there are many on here who have no regard for their human kind. It is a sorry but true fact. Do as you would be done by.

you read what you want to read yet again! i stated quite clearly that they were out of order as you can see, and i stand by that the racial slurs were out of order. I would say you are all a bunch of muppets but that would be insulting to muppets so I’ll just say you and your fellow “admin” are not very good at your jobs.

I am surprised though as other places that only “employ” volunteers take measures to make sure those volunteers are not inept.

You have many lessons to learn, not only about reading between lines but also how to react. There’s more to human beings than what they merely post, including me………..maybe try a chatroom ?
