who do you feel is to blame for englands world cup failure? and yes being knocked out in the quarters is a failure.
although sven has shown what an inept football coach he is and should shoulder a lot of the blame, i feel the F.A should be blamed. after all sven gave them enough reasons to get rid of him time and time again before the world cup.3 July, 2006 at 1:51 am #229062It’s a game…sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Everyone looks to apportion blame far to much these days.

We lost a game of football, that’s all. Now we have an opportunity to rebuild ahead of the next challenge. The blame culture in this sport is ridiculous. It’s time we stopped knocking individuals, realised we just aren’t good enough, and worked on getting better. Easy!
Wise words

No one is to blame…
We got to the Quarter finals, the last eight of the world’s best Football teams and played a large part of the game, one man down against a decent team.. and kept them out. If it hadn’t been for a good keeper, we may have gone further.
3 July, 2006 at 5:53 pm #229065I’ve said this before Tig, but the least England should have expected given the draw they had was the Quarters.
3 July, 2006 at 6:24 pm #229066Maybe so BM, but you don’t give the other teams credit either. Portugal wouldn’t have gotten this far if they relied on their diving and feigning injury skills.
3 July, 2006 at 6:27 pm #229067i blame the beer, i am sure we would have won if i had’nt drunk so much during the game
