Can someone please tell me why the government can find billions of pounds for failing banks at the “drop of a hat”, billions for overseas wars but nothing for the NHS or pensioners?
I heard the food is so bad in Scotland, they’re giving it away to school kids and the English tax payers are paying for that too !!!

For the first comment, I kiss you; for the second, I kick you in the nads..hard!
2 October, 2008 at 12:04 pm #377080Cause when the banks work they make money for the government and therefore the country the NHS and pensioners dont. Save the banks and make money better the NHS and it’ll cost more money, which one would you go for.
2 October, 2008 at 12:32 pm #377081So what your saying is,
The 65 million people in the UK don’t meet the tax bill, but the banks do?
errrr I think you should look at how much “business” pays in taxes before you start going on about how much the “banks” make for the government.
Its not has much has you seem to think and well short of the bale-out figurers !!!!!
2 October, 2008 at 12:59 pm #377082This is getting to be a habit people telling people what they’re saying. I’m saying exactly what i typed, taxes into the NHS revenue out … nothing, taxes in to save the banks, revenue out… something. Which one would you choose from a business standpoint.
2 October, 2008 at 1:29 pm #377083Ok your argument is that if it don’t make money, shut it down?
So where would you like to start? The police?
I can’t remember the last time the police made any cash for the government, but I could be wrong.
The point you seem to be missing is:
What public service do the banks perform? How can you justify making every man women and child in the UK pay £50 each to bale out the banks?
If you was running your own business, made a loss, would the nice people in the government step in and help you out?
Would they foook!!
The inland revenue would be the first one with there hands out grabbing all they could.
2 October, 2008 at 1:35 pm #377084And the ordinary person wont lose anything if the banks fold ?
And again i’ve sifted and searched but again your’e TELLING me what my argument is and i never said that.
As for the banks they stop you having your money under the mattress they give you mortgages and loans and interest on your money and some very pretty cashiers2 October, 2008 at 1:45 pm #377085Hmmm…….
Are we talking about the same people who send you a letter when your 1p over drawn and then charge you £30 for it?
The same people who refused bank accounts for 30% of the UK?
Those nice people who give you 2% interest on your current account then lend it out to others using credit cards at 27% ?
2 October, 2008 at 1:49 pm #377086DOA id give it all to the NHS, RSPCA, PENSIONERS, SAVE THE WHALE, whatever but the country would soon be in the sh it
2 October, 2008 at 6:10 pm #377087Got no time for banks and we would be better off without them. They make millions for themselves and the government but we dont see any benifit. We late for a payment they charge us. We draw money out they charge us. they want to charge us for having an account as well. Its out bloody money for gods sake not theirs. They are using our money to make themselves moneys and if we are lucky and kiss their butts they might let us have some of it back for a small fee.
Let them all go to the wall and let us all stuff our money under the mattress :DBut i would agree with pete on one point. the birds at my local lloyds are bloddy hot and id pay good money to see them do porn
