    Or even window dressers looking out of shop windows looking at people looking into the windows shouldn’t be allowed to sell anything to those that aren’t going to buy anything …… er ….. that’s it.

    Currently, we have a tad under 2,000 users all of whom have, at one time or another, registered an account with us.

    For some strange reason, the vast majority never ever post anything. This has been the case ever since I started moderating these boards several years ago – it isn’t just a recent thing.

    Having the boards open and viewable by “guests” is intended to encourage them to read first and if they like the content, to join and add their own contribution.

    I do think that a lot of potential ‘newbies’ are put off by the incessant ‘flaming’ that occurred up until a while ago. Hopefully they will respond to the altogether more respectful style that is now encouraged here and dip a toe in the water.

    i dont get here all that often these days, and when i do i browse more than i post, if i find something i want to contribute tho i still do , so im sorta still here lol :D

    Well I’d like to post more often, and often I’ve wrote long posts or started new topics, then read them back.. and thought.. ‘hmmm that might be taken the wrong way’ or ‘That might be deemed as an insult’ so I end up deleting them and just browsing again.. I guess until I start to feel where the boundries are again.. ill be a bit wary of what I post and what I don’t.
    I just don’t feel relaxed anymore

    Hello Geordie …..er ….. nice person. Your posts are and always were interesting or thought provoking. I’ll bet that we both know where the line is drawn in terms of being abusive, anf I’ll also bet that your posting style never went over it.

    But hey … it’s nice to see you back, even in only for a brief visit.
