You reckon …lol
Googling answers to questions doesn’t mean you know your football.
I think most people on here think you talk $hite most of the time.
( That’s when they can make head or tail of it of course )
25 November, 2005 at 12:07 pm #171977crouch is a good player, nothing more, i think liverpool where rushed slightly into buying a striker in my opinion, and there was’nt many about like peter crouch
he will score his first goal this weekend, least then the whole nation can move on
25 November, 2005 at 12:17 pm #171978We signed Crouch in July…..We were rushed in to signing someone to go along side him as Rafa doesn’t rate Cisse and quite frankly niether do I.
Because we where rushed.Teams like Real Madrid and Benfica upped there price for the players we wanted and we decided to go with what we had untill January rather than pay over the odds.
Crouch was bought as an option up front but because the other strikers are misfiring he has played more than he would have if we had signed someone else.Benitez also bought John Carew when he was at Valencia (6″10″) and used him to good effect but not all the time.
What im trying to say for the last time is that Crouch was bought as part of a squad that can vary tactics depending on the opposition.
Because he was picked for England ahead of Darren Bent people have jumped on his back and made life difficult for him adding extra pressure to his move to a big club.
Once he scores or gets a decent partner, the pressure will ease and i’d imagine he will score regulary but never prolific. We will use him more away from home where he is given the job of holding the ball up and bringing other players into the game.Last I have to say on the subject lads.

25 November, 2005 at 12:25 pm #171980FAIR DO’S WERE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OPINIONS
25 November, 2005 at 12:54 pm #171981i like cisse myself, its not a player i would like to defend against, pace is always somthing hard to defend
if it was’nt for the riverly between liverpool and man united, i think saha would be a great signing for liverpool, hes been so unlucky with injurys at united, if he ever gets fully fit again, he will be a very good player to have in any team
or there is wayne rooneys brother at everton, hes only about 14.. but i’m told hes as good now as rooney was at 16.. not sure everton will want to let him go as easily this time

Apart from the fact he is only 14…..a Rooney wouldn’t sign for Liverpool….trust me …I know the family.
Saha is a good player but as you said…a big gamble with injurys.
If we could ahve anyone it would be Defoe….that boy will be a star if he goes to a big club.25 November, 2005 at 1:57 pm #171983tottenham are doing pretty well though, and they are a big club, think he is happy there, tottenham are getting stronger and stronger
can’t see any other british strikers who liverpool might fancy, may have to look abroad somewhere, and to be honest i have no idea whos about, maybe diego forlan :)
