… out the middle of pumpkins, how much of the orange shit in the middle has to come out? If I leave too much, surely it will rot. If I go too far, surely I will weaken the shell.
My arm’s tired and the kids have fucked off, bored with the whole thing. I wouldn’t mind, but this whole Yankee enterprise was none of my idea. Perhaps some of our colonial cousins are expert?
they are quite strong pikey really and if you get the main bulk out you can show the kids how to make pumpkin soup too since you’re in a blue peter mood :lol: :wink:
I’m no expert :lol: but i just scrape out the goey crap and seeds! I leave most of the orange part. We did ours last night. They say to rub down the outside of the pumpkin with something like vaseline and it keeps them from drying out so quick.
and you can toast the seeds with butter in the oven :lol:

Ive carved a pumpkin every year since i was little…i guess kind of tradition over here. I put mine on our front porch :lol:
