Truth be told up until a couple of months ago, I hadn’t a clue who she was either. I had heard the name but that was about it.
And that’s not a lie – I was in blissful ignorance until she hit the headlines for winning an award.

amy rulz! :lol:I have to agree pats, Amy Lee is a terrific vocalist. Perfect examples are ‘My Immortal’ and ‘Broken’ which is actually by Seether (don’t judge by the name, fair enough one of their songs is called ‘F**k it’ but that takes nothing from the fact that they play some good music!) but there’s a version that features her vocals.
Within Temptation are really good if you like Evanescence. Especially ‘Angels’

Ill second that one. she has the soul and the misery added as did billie holliday, i just hope she kicks the habit and the hangers on only too happy to feed her ego as well.
mmmm well I gotta say that the single Back to Black is quite good….but her voice is like a grating nail down a chalk board to me……and quite frankly she looks like sh’te at the moment – even making Britney look positively happy and content………… :?

(Oh and My Immortal is possibly one of the best songs going (as is Creep btw)).

I don’t think they’ll ever beat My Immortal, that song damn near brings a tear to my eye when I hear it now (must be going soft in my old age)

Sorry but I just don’t seem to hear what the mass population does with Amy Crackhouse.
Gotta agree with My Immortal every time – it sounds pretty darn perfect to my (possibly dodgy) ears.
Nowt wrong with your ears, it is a perfect song by a perfect vocalist. Dunno why they’ve decided to go for a more metal feel to the latest album, it’s good but I prefer Fallen.
You may not be aware of this, I did it and wasn’t aware, but by using the term ‘quite good’ you have effectively called her music crap. I know, it came as a bit of a shock to me when I realized… :roll:
At least you didn’t go as far to suggest that there are better vocalists, that’d be the ultimate insult!!
