if you discovered that your whole conversation with someone in msn or in pc here had been cut and pasted to a third party?
Should people let you know their intentions before they cut and paste to someone else?
Would you delete that person from your msn if you knew they made a habit of doing this?
Would you change the way you spoke to them if you knew that this is what they were doing?
How many of you think that in certain circumstances it is acceptable behaviour, and if so what would those circumstances be?
My personal opinion on this topic is… that cut and pasting private conversations without gaining permission is underhand, as is discussing them on a public message board.
6 March, 2008 at 9:18 pm #316094A quick eff aff and then delete them …… it proved very effective in a case of mine once…
6 March, 2008 at 9:19 pm #316095I’d hunt em down n shoot em like the dawg they are
If you’re on msn with someone you’ve never met, then there shouldnt be anything you would object to being read elsewhere or which would make the slightest difference copied n pasted elsewhere so it wouldnt matter really
If you’re on msn with someone you know n they’ve done it, have it out with them

6 March, 2008 at 9:45 pm #316097I thought only good friends chat to each other in MSN?
I only have three people I chat to in private, two on yahooo msr who are my mates (not cyber) and one on msn, but very rarely.
Dont talk to people you cant trust then you wont be dissappointed when they cyber-let you down.

tou had just better pray that the government never take you to court pet, cos they monitor everything you do and say. every chat site, every bee bo, every single opinion is cross checked and held. for your protection from terrorists. [of course]

I’d think that I had been betrayed and that the person should never, ever be forgiven.
Should people let you know their intentions before they cut and paste to someone else?
Yes.
Would you delete that person from your msn if you knew they made a habit of doing this?
I’d delete them the first time. Nevermind after they made a habit of it.
Would you change the way you spoke to them if you knew that this is what they were doing?
I’d stop speaking to them.
How many of you think that in certain circumstances it is acceptable behaviour, and if so what would those circumstances be?
No acceptable circumstances.
7 March, 2008 at 9:02 am #316100Answer me this one Minim.
Is there a difference between private conversations in msn being “copied” to a third party and private conversations being relayed to a thrid party by say, the telephone :?:
Same situation, just a different method of transfering the information. Is it not :?:
7 March, 2008 at 12:58 pm #316101No, it is not the same situation.
The equivalent would be if you recorded a telephone conversation with one person without them being aware that you are recording it, then played that recording to a third party.
I assume from your response that you are defending cut and pasting to a third party.
7 March, 2008 at 1:01 pm #316102And what if somebody was actually reading a convo to a third party down the phone as it was being typed on the screen :?:
