I have lent money, when I had it, and don’t really expect it back! However, here in France, it is totally different to the UK – people will help each other out, like cook a meal or fix your boiler/plumbing/cooker/electronics, powercut? lend you a generator, for nothing – that means more! No blackmail involved, you just know that someone will try and help, BUT not expect anything back in return. A friend of mine fixed some clothing of mine (I do not have a sewing machine), in return, I went up the road (local farm) and got her a dozen eggs! That kind of thing. So, money doesn’t buy friendship, actions do, and mean more.
Actually anc its like that here too. I have done many kindnesses for friends in the past and had them repaid ten fold in various and not always obvious ways. Seeing kindness can be a frame of mind, if you are happy in your surroundings maybe kindnesses are more obvious. Hope that makes sense :? :? :?

Kindness is indeed priceless Nemesis.. but rip off artists know what they are doing.I was not on about helping someone out.but a rip off merchant that is basically a stalker. The original question being ” if someone asked for money with a threatening angle”. Hell I buy the Big Issue from Paddy at the back of my Local Marks n Sparks,I will gladly help a mate out ( and HAVE) But i refused point blank to be blackmailed. I had to admit all and was left with a husband roaring and laughing at my predicament, and holding onto car windscreen wipers to stop him heading off to The Regents park area of london. this guy is still out there !
I met an online friend, and she asked if she could confide in me.. Turns out he did it to her too, now how spooky IS that ! same guy !
a 40 something man with the non de plume of a fantasy cartoon !!no wonder my man laughed at my confession ! :) :)
