Currently I have a mild fear of sink holes…..if I go for a run or a walk….I often think if a sink  hole appears no ones going to know I have fallen down it!

And also…remember there have been a few incidents where people have jumped off bridges over motorways…and incidents where kids threw stones etc at cars from the bridges……I always look up at the bridges go see if anyone’s there…..they make me a little nervous

(sorry for going slightly off topic Sophia….talking about it helps lol )

I thought corn flakes were alive, and that by eating them I would make them safe in my tum.

Also thought Santa Claus wouldn’t come and leave me prezzies if I kept awake. I still remember waking in the dark and fearfully trying to get to sleep. When I heard the sleigh bells, I shut my eyes really tight, hoping to bluff it out! I was petrified when I heard Santa coming in the bedroom and leaving my sock full of little goodies at the bottom of the bed! I tried to snore to show that I was fast asleep.

Miss ya, dad, miss ya lots.

When I was young my dad took me to anfieild, fairly regularly. I had an apple for half time. Anyway he always wore his ‘ columbo mac… we’d drive up the main drag and there would be this policeman , ethnic origin, very pleasant , and he was meant to stop cars going up round ground trying to park, my dad would wind window down , flash this card ? And say ” Sybill Road ” all commanding like, and the copper would say go ahead sir .. he’d find a road to park in, young kids would move dining chairs out of the front of there house so he could park, he’d flash em this card and they’d say ” yep ok boss. Not a scratch ” etc. he’d always give em 50p when we got back . I was always a bit dumbstruck When I was about 14 I had to get to a really important ( thing ). We were in a big traffic jam.. I was stressing. Suddenly my dad rolled down his side window and held this ‘ card ‘ out. Flashing his lights. Everyone moved out the way , by this time I’d seen ‘ the card ‘. It was a Blue Star petrol card. Provided by employers to get petrol for company cars I was cringing in the footwell. Makes me laugh now tho x

Impersonating a Police officer is a serious offence, he’s lucky he wasn’t caught out.

I believed if you swallowed any seed….ie apple etc…..an actual tree of that fruit would grow inside you and eventually come out of your mouth

I thought that the cenotaph in the public park commemorating the war dead contained all the dead of the First and Second World Wars.

I kept trying to imagine how they packed all the bodies inside that large stone, and thought the limbs must all be wound round each other.

It began to strike me as quite distasteful.

I used to believe when you had a gamble on a horse race and backed it each way that the horse had to run to the end of the track and back.

Don’t recall  believing in anything strange as a child; always been a realist as far as I can remember.
